Equality Productions announces auditions for virtual recordings of two episodes from the TV series: THE GOLDEN GIRLS in honor of LBGTQ Pride Month. Arlene Cassara Dance & Theater Center’s 5-week summer session including MUSICAL THEATER DANCE and its ACTING CLASSES begin July 2nd! For those missing live theater this summer and/or those wanting to improve their skills for future productions, these IN PERSON classes are especially designed for you! ACD&TC is so excited to have guest teacher, Douglas F. Bailey II, teaching ACTING this summer! Through this five week class we will work through some of the basics of acting including acting through movement, character development, improv skills, and cold readings. We will discuss the casting process beginning at audition prep through callbacks, and acting etiquette once you find yourself in a production. This 5-week session class will be held Thursdays 6:00pm, open to teens and adults. MUSICAL THEATER DANCE will feature a new dance routine from a different musical all 5 weeks of the session! Taught by co- director of the studio and Cleveland theater choreographer, Nicci Cassara Billington, this class is perfect for all actors wanting to strengthen their dancing skills for future productions. As our conflict and turmoilcontinue, it would be surprising if tiredness , frustration, confusion,depression, anger didn't describe some of the ways we're feeling as these days continue "with noend in sight." What can we do to feel better aboutourselves, family, (especially children & elders), co-workers and the worlditself? Let's take a step back and spendsome time lightening up and disengaging from the 'chaos' of our country. Let's refresh, renew, and revitalizeour physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energy and well-being to be able to make itthrough each brand new day. So, forget about being anadult. Just for a few minutes each day. You can do it. Don’t readthe newspaper, except for the Comics. Turn off your cell phone. Letyour phone go to Voicemail. Don’t open your emails. Change the TV news to theCartoon channel. You say you can’t live withouttechnology? Remember, it hasn’t been that many years ago, you lived andbreathed every day without the technology. It hadn’t been invented, yet. OK, have I convinced you to putaside techno stuff, at least for a little while? Now, you can spend sometime “Living Your Life with Smiles and Light.” Looking for ways to bring a littlesmiles & light into your daily life? Then, try doing some of these “goofy” things just for fun. “5” more waysto put smiles and light into your day . . . 1. Stand on your head with both hands tied behind your back, and 'burp red jelly beans.' Impossible you say? Did you just smile at the absurdity of it? 2. Dance with your dog or cat in the bathroom, in the tub. 3. Put on mis-match Snoopy, Ziggy, Miss Piggy, or Garfield socks. A different one on each foot. Make them visible and wear them to the grocery store or pharmacy. 4. Got milk? Get a straw and blow bubbles in it. Chocolate is even better 5. Whatever you do to put smiles and light into your daily life, doit with God. Note. I use the name God. TMP SUMMER INTENSIVE 2020PRE-PROFESSIONAL (12 - 18 YRS)JULY 27TH - JULY 31ST, 2020 This one week intensive is geared for serious-minded dancers interested in furthering themselves as creative artists and who wish to deepen and grow their technical and performance knowledge. This intensive provides a rigorous daily schedule in professional training, creative practice and rehearsals taught by TMP artistic directors, company members, as well as notable guest artists in the dance community. The program will focus on modern dance technique, contemporary, ballet, improvisation, composition, injury prevention and somatic practices. In addition to movement courses, the program includes courses designed to prepare young artists for a career in dance, such as, resume building, dance on film and marketing. As part of our marketing course, each artist will receive dance action shots for their portfolio. The Dancing Wheels Company 2020 DW Experience July 20-24, 2020 Join Dancing Wheels in our new “DW Experience,” a one-week program for dancers ages 15 and up. This program fosters both technical growth and artistic development in physically integrated dance, and promotes a supportive community of individuals with and without disabilities. Dancing Wheels company members will conduct classes and activities for participants to enjoy throughout the week. The *DW Experience *allows everyone to challenge themselves in both body and mind, explore the expression of their individuality, and work at their own level. This year’s *DW Experience* may include an opportunities to perform in honor of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. All participants are invited to perform in The School of Dancing Wheels Performance Ensemble for the 2020-2021 season. *Job Description: Marketing Director* *Fireland Symphony Orchestra/School of Music* *Status:* Flex Time Employee/Full Time *Reports to:* Executive Director *Overview:* The Marketing Administrator (MA) is responsible for developing the marketing of the FSO and FSO/SOA and other duties as assigned by the Executive Director (ED) and the FSO Board. The MA is responsible under the guidance of the Marketing Committee to execute the Marketing Plan as set by the committee and ED. The MA must be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, collegial, energetic and articulate. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nonprofit and arts background preferred. *Job Duties and Responsibilities:* · Work with ED and Marketing Committee to develop and implement the marketing plan for the organization. This includes: o overall branding o season and single ticket sales o donor campaigns o special events · Manage and maintain a database with Patron Manager (PM). · Work with the staff to include PM supporters on appropriate mailing lists. · Target patrons (i.e., first time attendees) with special offers and surveys as outlined in Marketing Plan. · Track and update ticketing database information to analyze marketing/geographic trends in ticket buyers/concert attendees. · Publish reports to the ED. · Work with ED with area clubs and service organizations to promote special group ticket offers. · Assure effective communication with other arts organizations and public agencies as instructed by ED. · Manage Social Media platforms effectively. · Maintain Website with timely updates and accurate content. · Attend all events as an FSO representative. · Work cooperatively with all FSO staff members and the FSO Board. · All other duties as directed by the Executive Director and/or FSO Board *Physical Demands:* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
