Award-winning writer/director, Jonathan Perry returns this year with an exciting action thriller, filming in the Ottawa County area. The classified production will cast local actors in various starring and speaking roles. Jonathan Perry is a 19-year-old, American filmmaker and screenwriter. He is best known for his 2019 film SUBNIVEAN, which garnered critical acclaim and was subsequently acquired by Amazon Prime Video for international distribution, making him “the youngest director on any streaming service” at the age of 17. Perry has taken on a range of new projects and collaborations, most notably writing a feature screenplay set to be produced in 2022 through Lionsgate. The short film CROOKERY introduces the viewer to an intense home invasion from a unique perspective. Perry states in a brief film synopsis, “An ordinary family falsely defends their home against two intruders trying to break in. While the truth is the real criminal trying to break out.” The motion picture is set for international theatrical release and will be filmed this December following all required pandemic safety measures. The auditions are virtual and submissions are being taken now. The production is seeking the following actors to cast in the film: Physically fit males and females, ages 25-45. Mama Bear Here,First let me say, Thank you to all of the people who reached out to me regarding my call to stop sexual harassment in our theatre community. Each of your stories touched me and have inspired me to take action. I did get a few emails stating how cowardly and shameful it is for me to be speaking out about this, mostly men. But they will not silence me! No one will silence me!I think we need a forum to share our stories and to warn each other of the predators and creeps in this community. That is why I am starting an email blast for everyone who strives to protect our children and ourselves. Each month I will share the stories I am told, some with names and some not. I will also compile a master list of the theatres where action has not been taken to protect us. I want the word to get out!However this sensitive information will only be shared with those who want it. If you want to be a part of this feel free to send me an email saying so, and if you would like to share your story for our first issue, just send me an email with as little or as much details as you want. This is to keep us safe and expose those who make this community a vile and despicable place. Spark Theatre Company & Lorain County Community College announces non-equity auditions for its upcoming production of *The Imaginators*, to be rehearsed safely and filmed once for schools to use as a virtual field trip. Spark is seeking 1 performer for this production. *The Imaginators*, by Dwayne Hartford is the story of three children and the power of imagination. Anne and Tim have just moved to a new town and struggle to make new friends. Through a new neighbor, the children discover their own strengths, the value of cooperation, and the unlimited power of their imaginations as they figure out how to defeat an imaginary monster! The play reminds children and adults alike never to lose their sense of play and creativity. *AVAILABLE ROLE:* *ACTOR- *Open to all ethnicities and types. Seeking 1 actor to play the role of Nina’s older teenage brother (or sister) who spends much of their time looking for Nina. Nina hides from her sibling, telling her new friends they are actually a monster in disguise. In the end, this character is a pretty normal older sibling.
