The <http://www.borderlightcle.org/> BorderLight International Theatre + Fringe Festival seeks a part-time Engagement & Advancement Manager. The position covers the overlapping areas of marketing communications, community engagement, and development. This staff member will work closely with festival leadership, as well as with sub-contractors, vendors and seasonal staff according to the festival cycle. * Marketing: primary staff contact supervising marketing, website, and social media subcontractors for the festival. During the off-season, will serve as the communications/marketing lead for the organization, including press/media relations, content creation and brand promotion. * Engagement: work with the BorderLight team to identify and develop new audiences for the festival, while actively supporting and reporting on the organization's audience development and community engagement goals as we aim to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive event. * Advancement: assist with sponsorships, donor/patron database management, development communications, sponsor/donor recognition, benefits tracking, and board engagement efforts. Terms: Part-time position from February 1, 2022, with longer hours and pro-rated pay during biennial festival season. Much of the job can be done in hours of the individual's choosing, apart from some meetings. Job is often remote. Must be more flexible during biennial festival season (April-July). Part time base pay is $19,000 per year, averaging approximately 20 hours/week. Painting the Town: Art Competition for Utility Box Designs Building on the success of several years of traffic utility box projects, the Shaker Arts Council (SHAC) is pleased to announce this year’s project: *Painting the Town*. SHAC is sponsoring a juried *art competition* for the design of *utility boxes* located in Shaker Heights. Local artists are invited to participate. CPT ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR STUDENT THEATRE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (STEP) Wednesday, February 16 from 6:00-8:30pm <outlook-data-detector://0> OR Sunday, March 6 from 1:30-4:00pm on Zoom! cleveland PUBLIC theatre Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP) CPT’s STEP is a summer arts-based job training program that engages Cleveland teens in a powerful 8-week intensive that focuses on excellence in performance, play creation, physical theatre, writing, production, and set design/construction. Youth ages 14-19 work together to create, produce, perform, and tour an original piece that they create as an ensemble. This program is the longest-running performing arts-based, workplace development program in Cleveland and is an international model for successfully engaging youth. Since its beginning in 1994, STEP has received multiple awards and recognitions, including those from The City of Cleveland, The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Through STEP, teens see themselves as a positive and inspirational force, and watch as their work has an impact on the larger Cleveland community.
