Back By Popular Demand, Beck Center for the Arts Produces Holiday Hit Elf The Musical Lakewood, OH-Beck Center for the Arts<http://www.beckcenter.org/> is excited to reprise the smash hit from 2021, Elf The Musical,<https://www.beckcenter.org/shows/elf-2022> a soon to be holiday classic for the stage. Elf The Musical, book was adapted by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan with lyrics by Chad Beguelin and music by Matthew Sklar. Based on the New Line Cinema film by David Berenbaum, this stage production is directed by Scott Spence, with musical direction by Larry Goodpaster. The show runs now to December 30, 2022, in the Senney Theater in Lakewood, Ohio. Additional performances added on Wednesdays Dec. 21 and 28, Thursdays, Dec. 15, 22, 29, and double performances, (matinee and evenings, 2:30PM/7:30PM) on Dec. 10, and 17, 2022. convergence-continuum announces auditions for the 12th annualNEOMFA Playwrights Festival! Auditionsto be held at the theatre located at 2438Scranton Rd. Cleveland, Ohio 44113 TheNortheast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) is a unique graduate program thatoffers a terminal degree in Creative Writing. Each year, convergence-continuum hostsa 2-weekend festival featuring works by students of the program. Each show isgiven a full production for the playwright to experience their work on stage.Rehearsals will start in early January. Those who have participatedin the past can testify that the Festival is an intensive, busy and thoroughlyfun experience! Shows can range from 10-minute shorts to fulllength. Thisseason will feature 3 works: One full length play, and two one-acts. Inall, the three plays have 20 roles: from younger to older actors, of allgenders, races and ethnicities.
