The BorderLight Festival returns in 2023 with our first all-Fringe festival and we invite you to apply! This not-for-profit festival will take place over three days in late July or early August (dates tbc soon!). The festival will feature half local artists, half artists from all over the U.S. BorderLight will provide a venue, box office, marketing support, and fun, free events like an Opening Night Party and a Fringe Awards Ceremony. 70% of box office revenue is returned to artists. And, participating artists can see other shows in the festival for free on a standby basis. The BorderLight Fringe Festival draws thousands of attendees to downtown Cleveland and helps makes in-person theatre accessible to more people. Cleveland Play House is whittling down the holdings in our vast library and there's still good stuff left! In addition to a lot of scripts, there's still some fiction, nonfiction, theatre history, theatre criticism, and some other random stuff. Paperbacks are $1; hardcovers are $2; play anthologies and coffee table books are $3; or you can fill a brown paper grocery bag with as much as you can for $25. We can accept cash, Venmo, or Cash App. We won't be accepting check or credit card. *All proceeds will be donated to the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank.* Sale time tomorrow is 10AM-4PM. To attend the sale, come to our office at 1901 E. 13th Street in downtown Cleveland. Buzz at the door to be let into the Middough Building lobby, then take the elevator to the 5th floor. Looking for poet for project with veterans

Western Reserve Chorale is performing a program in March that will feature two Requiems. The work by Jonathan Willcocks, From Darkness to Light, includes poetry by a veteran of the Korean War. We would love to engage local veterans to submit poetry for our program book and invite them to the concert. *Heights Arts Last Call for Poets* *Deadline December 31st 2022* Heights Arts is seeking poets for their popular Ekphrastacy series! The Ekphrastacy literary program is a series of artist talks + poetry readings held regularly in the Heights Arts gallery, in conjunction with special exhibitions. Cleveland-area writers are invited by the current Poet Laureate to view the installed artworks and respond with a poem. Four weeks after the exhibition opens, the artists talk about their work and the poets read their poems, often resulting in a surprising dialogue. Participating poets will receive an honorarium and a commission for a minimum of two works. All Ekphrastacy events are on Thursday evenings starting at 7:00 and poets must arrive by 6:30.
