Founded in 2017, *Young Filmmakers Academy* is like no other program in northeast Ohio. Created on the principles of creativity, inclusion, diversity and teamwork, YFA is dedicated to offering a safe, structured environment where aspiring young artists can learn to express themselves, meet like-minded friends, have fun and feel comfortable. Through avenues like The renowned Summer Filmmaking Program, The 8 Week Film School and Second Saturdays Free Workshops, our students learn the ins and outs of screenwriting, cinematography, post-production, set design and more under the guidance of experienced industry professionals. Join us this Saturday from 10am - 12pm for our *FREE Stunt Workshop* with professional stuntman and stunt coordinator Ray Goodwin teaching how to coordinate a realistic fight scene. Beck Center for the Arts summer theater camps and classes at STARTING NEXT WEEK!

Beck Center for the Arts' Theater Department kicks off our summer session of theater camps on Monday, June 13! We've got camps for ages 7-19, including focuses in improv, acting and musical theater. In addition, our adult acting classes start the week of June 13. Do not miss out! Theater Camps and Classes Starting Next Week: Improv Camp: Beck Improv Camp (Ages 13-19) Headed by a founding member of "Something Dada," Russ Stich, this camp is great for both new students of improv as well as veteran performers. Students explore the basic concepts of improvisational theater with an emphasis on the theatrical, and audience interaction aspects. This two-week workshop focuses on creating a completely improvised performance based on suggestions from a live audience. It's a guaranteed comedy blast! Live performances will take place June 24 & 25 at 7:30 PM. Students are required to participate in both performances. Tuition does not include admission to performances. Campers are broken into smaller groups based on age and work with theater professionals, learning about acting, singing, and dancing while rehearsing their own original show. Session 2 #9007 Mon-Fri; 9:30-11:30 AM; 7/25-8/12; 3 weeks; $280; Main Building; Instructor: Theater Faculty Acting Camp (Ages 13-19) Step into the spotlight in this fun and lively theater camp, headed by Russ Stich, is for students interested in developing their performance skills. Cassidy Theatre Announces Auditions for "The Downside"

For Immediate Release: Cassidy Theatre is proud to announce auditions for its fully staged production of "The Downside", a new play written by local playwright, Molly McFadden. The play will be directed by Annette Fernandez. Auditions will be held on Monday & Tuesday, June 13th & 14th from 6pm - 8pm. The following roles are open: Marilyn and Todd McGinnis - A married couple in their early 70s Ruby Payne - An African American in her late 60s Lucy Reynolds - An African American in her late 50s Shelby McGinnis - Daughter of Marilyn and Todd in her late 20s Sam Mann - An Orthodox Jewish man in his 50s Peggy - A white Woman in her 50s Eleni - A Greek lady in her 70s Bob - A young white man in his late 30s Auditions will consist of cold reading from the script. Actors are encouraged to bring a current headshot and resume with them to their audition .
