TO SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION SLOT, PLEASE VISIT: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4CA8AA22A6F4CF8-auditions Directed by: Dawna Kornick and Rhonda GallagherChoreographed by: Andrea AndersonMusically Directed by: Jared Sparks Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 14th (4-6pm) and Sunday May 15th (6-8pm) AGES 18 and under are welcome to audition!! All auditioners are asked to come prepared with one minute of a song of their choosing. Auditoners will also be asked to cold read from the script. (Music auditions are to be a capella or with accompaniment tracks if you have them accessible). Auditioners are asked to wear comfortable clothes as we will learn a short dance movement. Performances: July 15th-30th (Fridays and Saturdays at 8:15pm and Sundays at 2:15pm) ROLES AVAILABLE: Rafiki - A wise mandrill who acts as healer of the Pridelands and guides Simba on his journey home. She is an omniscient character, evincing an air of mystery. Mufasa - The strong, honorable, and wise lion who leads the Pridelands. Sarabi - A featured lioness, Mufasa's mate, and Simba's mother. Zazu - The anxious yet loyal assistant to Mufasa who is always busy trying to do his duty. Scar - The antagonist of the show, overcome with jealousy of his brother, Mufasa, and nephew, Simba. Coldhearted and wickedly intelligent, he will stop at nothing to become king of the Pridelands. Young Simba - The protagonist of the story, is an adventurous and endearing cub who can't wait to be king of the Pridelands. Simba is playful, energetic, and naive, but after his father Mufasa's death, Simba struggles with shame and his destiny. Simba - Grows from a cub to lion in "Hakuna Matata." Older Simba has more complex moments as he reunites with Nala, mourns his father, and returns to confront Scar Young Nala - A courageous lion and Young Simba's best friend. She is not afraid to speak her mind. Nala - Grows from a cub to a lioness before she confronts Scar Sarafina - A featured lioness and Nala's mother. Shenzi - One of Scar's hyenas who plot to take over the Pridelands. She is the sassy one of the trio and is always looking out for herself. Banzai - A slick yet childish hyena who works for Scar. He would be the leader of the group if hyenas weren't so lazy. Ed - The third member of Scar's trio of lackeys. He has a loud, cackling laugh that is his only form of communication. Timon - An outcast meerkat who lives in the jungle with Pumbaa. He is afraid of his own shadow, but pretends to be the confident, relaxed leader of the duo. Open Rehearsals and Tickets for OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD

Seat of the Pants Productions is offering three ways for the Cleveland theatre community to engage with ten-month experimental rehearsal process: *Get your tickets now!* June 1789. In the penal colony that will later become Sydney, Australia, a Marine lieutenant is tasked with putting on a play to celebrate the king's birthday. The only catch? His cast members are the English convicts who populate this distant Australian prison camp. Few of them can read, let alone act, and the play is being produced against a background of food shortages and barbaric punishments. Will this theatrical endeavor have the desired civilizing influence, or will everything implode before the curtain goes up? Featuring ten cast members portraying 22 different characters - convicts and officers alike - "Our Country's Good is a triumph...a tribute to the transforming power of drama...It is heartening to find someone standing up for theatre's unique spiritual power.” (The Guardian) The show runs from August 5th through 21st, at Reinberger Auditorium in Cleveland, Fridays through Sundays. AUDITIONS FOR "UNNECESSARY FARCE"AT SPOTLIGHTS THEATER The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater is excited to announce auditions for UNNECESSARY FARCE by Paul Slade Smith, directed by Chris Bizub. Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go! In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. Auditions will be Monday & Tuesday, July 11 & 12 – 7:00PM – 10:00PM at the theater (9543 Broadview Road, next to the police station. Callbacks (if needed) will be determined at a later date.
