Unique Jazz-Rock-Dance Band Looking for Two Female Singers (25-35)

The original 'Band Lost in Seoul' is looking for 2 female singers (or singer-songwriters) to front the band. Our sound is a combination of electronic jazz, 80s pop, 70s rock, and modern dance-pop, mixed together in a big metal bowl with a giant wooden spoon. This is a long-term project with the intention of producing both albums and videos, so please keep that in mind. The general focus of the band is to make danceable music, with less of a focus on jazz or rock; but those aspects are an essential part of the sound. The initial focus of the band will be to learn between 30 and 40 songs for live performance (expect 3-4 moths of work before playing out), while progressing to the production of 3-4 videos for YouTube marketing. Wanna play Weird Al on stage? Or maybe be a talking and singing Covid virus? Have we got the auditions for you! Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo, 236 Buffalo Street in Conneaut, OH, has announced auditions for our annual collection of one act plays will be August 19-20 at the theater. The Friday session will run from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday auditions will continue from 2-4 p.m. This is an open audition; appointments are not necessary. This year’s production will consist of five original short plays written by area authors. They all are set in a cheap room, from which the authors have let their imaginations run wild. Directors this year are Doug Anderson, Erika Perko, John Meranda, David Bucci and Clay Nielsen. Performance dates are Sept. 30 and Oct. 1-2. Bucci is coordinating the production. This is an unpaid production. The audition will consist of readings from the scripts. Age range for actors is mid teens and up; a total of 15 roles are up for grabs. Actors, if they wish, may audition for multiple roles. Prospective auditioners may contact our Facebook page or David Bucci or Clay Nielsen for advance electronic copies of the scripts. Frat guy. Quiet, a bit reserved. Asks The Imp for so much money, it comes out of his butt. So of course that's exactly where The Imp has the money come from which kills Dinger. Actor must be comfortable with a bare butt which will be replaced by a fake butt for the money shot. (See what I did there?) Brief butt nudity. Nudity is not required for the audition or callback. Frat boy and the self-appointed leader of the guys. Personable. Intelligent but wastes his intelligence on things like setting up nanny type cameras in the sorority house. Will probably be a member of the Supreme Court some day. [PERFECT MAN] SUPPORTING 25 to 35 years old, all ethnicities male. Perfect. This is who appears when Devon asks The Imp for the perfect man. Not too tall. Not too short. Doesn't talk a lot and will take care of her forever. Somebody who loves her who she can become one with. Unfortunately as soon as he and Devon begin to make love, they are fused into one horrible creature. Actor must be ok with appearing to be completely naked. Dorothy in Wonderland by Brian D.Taylor Directed by LeAnn Covey and John Leasure Auditions for Stow Players production of Dorothy in Wonderland will take place on Monday September 19 from 6:30PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday September 20 from 6:30PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Barn in Silver Springs Park. The address for the Heritage Barn is 5238 Young Road, Stow. Auditions are open call, there is no sign up for time slots. We are looking for students ages 8 through 17 that are currently in grades 2 through 12 for the 2022-2023 school year. Auditions will consist of performing a memorized monologue of their choice (1 to 3 minutes) and cold reading from the script. Children are not required to have a monologue prepared to audition, but it is encouraged. Please bring a list of conflicts to the audition. There will be a parent meeting September 21 at 5:30PM to discuss the show. Rehearsals begin on September 22 and will run Mondays through Thursdays. Not all actors will be required to attend every rehearsal. A full rehearsal schedule will be available at the audition. Production dates are November 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20.
