Academy For Dramatic Arts is presenting Scrooge The Musical December 9th-11th Directed and choreographed by Josh Landis. AFDA is a community theater that guarantees a safe place for children and youth to be creative and learn more about theater. We are seeking our perfect cast of youth from 4th grade through 12th grade. Performances will take place December 9-11; tech week December 4-8. Note: there is a participation fee of $100, scholarships are available. Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 11th at 4:00 PM and ending at 6:00 PM. INFAMOUS THE MUSICAL OPENS TOMORROW NIGHT!

Grab your tickets to see the brand new show, INFAMOUS THE MUSICAL, which opens this Friday night at St. Edward High School. INFAMOUS explores the events leading to Abraham Lincoln's assassination and subsequent manhunt for his killer, John Wilkes Booth. Infamous is written by local playwright and composer David Owen Michaels. The show will be presented as a staged concert and is directed by Scott Spence, Music Directed by Maria DiDonato, and features the talents of Robert Kowalewski, as John Wilke Booth, Greg Violand, as Abraham Lincoln, Natalie Green, as Lucy Hale, and Sandra Montevideo, as Mary Lincoln. Audition for Nutcracker

City Ballet of Cleveland is holding its annual Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker audition on Sunday, September 18th, from 12:30 pm–4:00 pm [subject to change]. The audition is open to all area ballet dancers ages eight and older. Dancers auditioning for pointe roles, including Act I Snow and Act II Waltz of the Flowers, should wear their pointe shoes to audition. Potential dancers do not need to be students at Cleveland City Dance; however, students must be enrolled in classes at their current studio or Cleveland City Dance during the rehearsal process. The 2022 Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker performances are scheduled for December 17th at 7:00 pm and December 18th at 2:00 pm at The Breen Center for the Performing Arts, 1911 W 30th & Lorain Rd Cleveland, (Ohio City) OH. Free Props and Costumes in Beachwood

Beachwood Community Theater has lost our very, large, storage facility. We have many props and costumes we can not take to our new home. We have less than a week to donate what is still available. We have several artificial trees, antique type writers, chandeliers, wedding gowns, baskets, large blocks, mens and women’s clothing, old phones, office chairs, desks, school desks, stools, antique sewing tables, a porcelain bath tub, trunks, luggage and so many costumes! This Sunday 9/11 is Hip Hop with Katie Colabianchi, from 1-2:30pm at Above The Barre's 1450 W Bagley Rd location. She is versatile in numerous styles of dance, including Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Latin, and Contemporary. Katie is a graduate of North Royalton High School, where she was a part of the school's dance team for four years while being a captain her junior and senior years. Katie currently attends Baldwin Wallace University, where she is a Co-Captain for the Baldwin Wallace Dance Team. Additionally, she is double majoring in English and Education while also being part of the Baldwin Wallace Cheer Team. Katie teaches and performs at studios, events, and showcases throughout the Greater Cleveland Area all year round, and specifically, she is a dancer for Rock The House Entertainment. Sing Out is a chorus of LGBTQIA+ and allied singers, dedicated to celebrating diversity, inspiring equity, and building a community of acceptance. Under the new direction of Edward Grimes, Sing Out will meet on Tuesday evenings at The Cultural Center for the Arts, located at 1001 Market Ave N, Canton, OH.* *Sing Out is an inclusive collective of adult voices who choose to celebrate and honor diversity through singing. No auditions are required for participants (18+). Join this welcoming community of singers and experience the joy of singing!* Sing Stark welcomes Edward Grimes as the new music director of Sing Out. A Northeast Ohio native, Edward holds a B.A. in Music and M.M. in Conducting from the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University. After graduation, he joined the staff as a collaborative artist working with vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensembles. Mr. Grimes worked extensively before and after the turn of the century for the Kent/Blossom Music Festival both in operations, and administrative roles, and as rehearsal conductor for their chamber orchestra programs. He joined the staff of Opera Cleveland for their 2007 and 2008 seasons as assistant chorus master. In 2008, he began teaching music, and later gardening and agriculture at Spring Garden Waldorf School in Akron, Ohio where he continues teaching presently. After 26 years at Christ Episcopal Church in Kent, he assumed the position of Director of Music and Organist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Canton, Ohio, and most recently completed his first season singing with Cleveland Chamber Choir.
