Then, we’ll choose acts together to put on a talent showcase at the end of our class that is all Uniquely You. No audition or experience necessary. Just bring YOU and your creativity! Alex Petsche, Instructor Alex has been performing at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre for 20 years. Starting here as a kid herself, she is ecstatic to take the lead of the youth theatre programs. Alex has taught drama at Young Explorers Montessori and has also choreographed musicals at Crestwood High School. She is currently teaching music and running the drama program at St. Gabriel School.

Faith Lutheran Church - Kent, Ohio is seeking to hire a part-time Organist to enhance congregational worship by providing organ and/or piano accompaniment for hymns and liturgy at the Sunday worship service. Responsibilities include playing at all Sunday services and special festival services including but not limited to mid-week services for Advent and Lent, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Easter. In addition, work with the Pastor and Worship Board to coordinate the liturgical theme for the day, and select organ and/or piano music consistent with the practices of the Lutheran church. Other duties and responsibilities are listed in the job description, available upon request. Qualifications include bachelor's degree or equivalent skill level in organ, piano, and keyboard techniques; ability to perform a wide variety of musical styles; one year of experience playing liturgy music and accompanying choirs and soloists; effective interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational skills; and understand the importance of music in the liturgy. Bass player available

Hi! I was on here waaaaay back in the day but life had other things in mind for me. I'm settled back in NE Ohio and wanted to reach out to the theater and arts scene to see if there was any work for a bassist out there. I play upright and electric bass, am a fluent reader in 2.5 clefs (tenor will sometimes make me have to think and cuss), and have played a ton of different styles and settings. I dearly miss playing in the pit, but am also open to other settings. I've played classic musicals, modern rock musicals, ballets, filled in with the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra for one season, a doo-wop band, a Latin dance band, bluegrass jam sessions, and have been in the Akron and Canton Symphonies for enough years that my tenure would eligible to buy alcohol. I was in Michigan last year, and had a little nibble of the pit when I got to sub for "Mama Mia" and "Little Shop". It felt great to be back in the bowels of the stage and I'm hoping that I can find stuff around here. My schedule is such that it is more likely that I'd be available for subbing rather than entire runs, but it is impossible to tell. I'm only looking for paid employment and I'm based in the Akron area. Thanks! Brian
