Seat of the Pants 2023-2024 season, *TRUTH BE TOLD,* features four productions that are all based on actual historical events, each play chronicling the efforts of protagonists in pursuit of truth - for it to be revealed, spoken aloud, shared, or exposed. With everything from an American classic to a raucous farce, a brand new solo show to a contemporary play in verse, the season has something for everyone and will showcase some of Northeast Ohio's talented theatremakers. As is our style, Seat of the Pants will continue to be: - *ITINERANT*, moving around Northeast Ohio to perform in site-specific locations, - *ENSEMBLE-BASED*, with a resident team of artists being joined by guests for each production, and - *PROCESS DRIVEN*, rehearsing each show for four months as a means of developing our craft and deepening our sense of trust with one another. Season passes are $75 for students and $110 for adults, and you'll receive: - a single ticket to each of our four shows at a discounted rate (or you can use them flexibly if you want to have two tickets for two shows, or any other combo) - *reserved seating**,* so you don't have to show up early to claim a seat - *a free concession* for each show, - *invitations to VIP events*, like open rehearsals, meet-and-greets with the casts, our season announcement party, and - *reminder phone calls* as each show approaches and it's time to pick your night to attend. Seeking volunteers to be non-dancers for a live presentation to bring awareness to CPR methods and AED operation. The event is the METROHEALTH Multicultural Women's Health Expo to be held at the Huntington Convention Center this Saturday September 30th. Must be able to attend a rehearsal this evening (Wed 9/27) at 8:00 p.m. in Shaker Hts (2 hours), then Fri Sep 29 from 5p-6p Downtown Cleveland. YOUTH (8 to 16) Ensemble Auditions for Beck's "Joseph.." Announced!!!

*Beck Center for the Arts* in Lakewood is pleased to announce *YOUTH AUDITIONS* for our holiday production of "*Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat**"* to be produced on the Senney Main Stage during the month of December. For this production Beck Center is seeking 12 to 14 young performers *between the ages of 8 and 16. Interested performers should also not be over 5’ 6”.* The Youth Chorus in “*Joseph*…” is very active, participating in at least half of the musical numbers vocally and are choreographed into the reknowned Megamix at the end of the show, and possibly other areas as well. They are onstage for most, if not all, of the show. *This production is seeking young performers who move well, have good singing voices, and are very focused. * Appointments are being taken by calling the Beck Center Box Office at *216-521-2540 x610* (or by stopping in). Appointment times will be available for *Saturday, October 7th between Noon and 2PM or Sunday, October 8th between Noon and 2PM.* *Callbacks will occur sometime during the weekend of October 14th/15th. * *What To Prepare*? For the initial audition we are asking for a 30 to 60 second memorized song. If you have sheet music in the correct key, please bring it as an accompanist is provided. We *will* also allow “a capella” (without sheet music) auditions. *Performances* begin Friday December 1st and end Saturday, December 30th. Performance dates are mainly Fri/Sat/Sun with a few Thursdays as well. There are no performances Dec. 24/25/26/27, allowing for a window of time for performers to travel if they wish. *Rehearsals* begin approx. October 21st. The Youth Ensemble will average 2-4 rehearsals per week (less early on and more as opening draws closer). Hello, My name is September Stanton. I am a local writer, director, and actor in Cleveland, Ohio. I recently started up a film production company and I am wanting to ensemble a team of people who have the same vision and desire toward wholesome content creating shorts and feature films and online shows. I am a Christian that is trying to create more of a viable market for these types of content to be brought to the mass public. Here is the catch: I need a team of people who are desirous to do something more than stick to the status quo. Who sees that people need hope are willing to put in the time and effort to create more avenues for these types of projects. I need help though I have little money but I do have some equipment. I have stories written but no team. My goal is establish revenue and to give a percentage of the company to each team member. I know this sounds ridiculous to try to hire people with no money but 'faith without works is dead.'-James 2:20 So, I'm taking a GIGANTIC LEAP OF FAITH here. You don't have to be the best, you don't have to be the most polished and pristine but you do have to want to work hard and show up because I will show up everyday for us. You can be a freshman in college, you can be a person who has always wanted to do something like this, or you can be a person who loves this as a hobby. I am just looking for people who have the heart to commit and follow through.
