*North Pointe Ballet <http://northpointeballet.org> (NPB) will present its annual production of The Nutcracker, the beloved holiday tradition, December 6th-8th (Berea-Midpark High School) & 13th-15th (Lorain Palace Theatre).* NPB’s production of The Nutcracker offers a captivating experience that *sets it apart from traditional stagings:* - Integrated *verbal & sign language narration* guides audience members through the story. - *NPB’s Sensory-Friendly performances* <http://northpointeballet.org/sensory-friendly> (12/7 & 12/14 @ 2pm) provide accommodations to reduce loud sounds and adjust dramatic lights, provide a space for taking a sensory break, and allow for a relaxed theater environment. The Western Reserve Chorale begins “Seasons of Joy” with our holiday concert “Joy to the World” on December 8th. Experience the vocal celebration of hope and joy by the 100+ voices of the chorale in this free concert. Sunday, December 8th at 3:30. Church of the Saviour, 2537 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights Western Reserve Chorale’s 33rd annual Holiday Concert features Vivaldi’s Magnificat, a wonder of choral and orchestral power which brims with light and drama. The Chorale will also present works by Stanley Hoffman celebrating the miracle of the Hanukkah lights. You will hear newer takes on old standards, including an exploration of musical genres in Bob Chilcotte’s Twelve Days of Christmas and harmonic and rhythmic interpretations in Variations on Jingle Bells by Mark Hayes and Jackson Berkey’s Joy to the World. Cleveland Dance Project's choreographer applications are now open for our Season 15 Showcase! Choreographers are given the opportunity to create and showcase a short work (under 4 minutes) in any style of dance on our adult dancers - casting is done at auditions on Sunday Jan 26 and can be cast with dancers from the beginner to the professional. Choreographers are paid a small stipend, given professional photos & videos, reimbursed for costume expenses (up to $15/dancer), and get free studio space for their rehearsals (and discounted studio space for other use). Stow Players will be holding auditions for our upcoming production, The Secret Adversary, Based on the Novel by Agatha Christie, adapted by Sarah Punshon and Johann Hari, directed by Brandi Eaton, on *Sunday December 8 at 7PM to 9PM *and *Monday December 9 from 7PM to 9PM *at the Heritage Barn, 5238 Young Rd Stow, OH 44224.
