Olde Towne Hall Theatre is looking for additional singers to round out our outstanding cast for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We are especially in need of women to join our cast - additional men are welcome as well. All ages welcome - teens and up preferred. The Parma Symphony Orchestra will have its third concert of the season on Sunday March 9, 2025. The concert will take place in the Valley Forge High School auditorium at 3:00 pm. Valley Forge High School is located on 9999 Independence Blvd, Parma Hts, Ohio 44130. The concert is under the direction of Dr. Randolph P. Laycock and will feature Chika Inoue on saxophone and Darren Allen on Vibraphone playing John Williams Escapades from Catch me if you can, The orchestra will also be playing Festive Overture by Shostakovich and Symphonic Metamorphosis by Paul Hindemith. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. A family pass good for 2 adults and 2 children is available for $20. The ticket booth will open one hour before the concert. Come early and get a good parking spot.

One actor plays the hero, Richard Hannay, an actress plays the three women with whom he has romantic entanglements, and two other actors play every other character in the show: heroes, villains, men, women, children, and even the occasional inanimate object. In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale. A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft, The 39 Steps amounts to an unforgettable evening of pure pleasure! AUDITION PROCESS Auditions will consist of cold reads and some basic movement exercises. Please bring a hardcopy resume. CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS Richard Hannay 20’s - 50’s. Male presenting. Any race or ethnicity. 1930s leading man type. Suave, dashing and debonair. Intelligent and resourceful. Actor must be able to maintain an upper-class British accent and be an adept physical comic with the stamina to be present for the entire play. Annabella/Pamela/Margaret 20’s - 50’s. Female presenting. Any race or ethnicity. Primarily the classic 1930s British ingenue, but also plays a Russian woman and a Scottish farmer. Must be able to perform all of the applicable accents. Must be an adept physical comic and create all three VERY different characters. Clown #1 & Clown #2 Age 18+. Any gender, race, or ethnicity. The two clowns portray over 150 roles over the course of the play and are essentially EVERYONE that the two leads are not. They must be physically agile and have a great deal of stamina, in addition to having a slew of accents (especially European) and voices at their disposal. Exemplary comedic timing is ESSENTIAL! Must be able to lift certain set pieces and move skillfully throughout the stage and between roles. Auditions for "School House Rock"

The Broadview Heights Spotlights will hold auditions for *School House Rock Live*. Auditions will be held by appointment on *Saturday, March 1 from 2:00PM – 5:00PM* and *Monday, March 3 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM*. Auditioners (ages 14 and up) should sign up for an on the Spotlights' website: www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org. No Equity contracts are available for this show. Invited callbacks, if necessary, may be scheduled later in the week. Rehearsals will begin the week of March 9. The show runs May 2 – 11, 2025 and will include Saturday and Sunday matinees. The show will be directed by Reilly Davidson and music directed by Clay Hoffner. *Schoolhouse Rock Live!* follows Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such songs as “Just a Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.” Those auditioning should: - Plan to attend only one day of auditions. - Be familiar with the show and its music. - Prepare two one-minute, contrasting songs (one up-tempo, one ballad) in the style of the show (contemporary musical theater/pop). - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Singers will not be permitted to sing a cappella. - Bring a list of conflicts between March 9 and May 11.
