Two female vocalists are seeking a guitarist to sing with, learn new music, possibly create new music and eventually start to perform out with. We are looking for someone, male or female, who is open to learning new music and has creative versatility with harmonies. Side of town doesn't matter because one of us lives in Cleveland Heights and the other in Lakewood. We are available Mon-Fri in the evenings after 5pm and weekends anytime. Silver Lining Players is looking for one older male to complete our cast for "The Night I Died at the Palace Theatre" by Pat Cook. We will be holding auditions this Friday at 6pm at Makeshift Theater at Coach House - 732 W Exchange St. (use driveway on Portage Path). The Night I Died at the Palace Theatre is a murder mystery/comedy in which members of a community theater show up for rehearsal only to find a REAL dead body has taken the place of their prop dead body! This production will be Makeshift Theater's grand reopening of the historic Akron landmark, Coach House. Be a part of this historic event! AND actors will receive a $100 stipend! Clague Playhouse is in search of a 20-30 year old male actor to play Giles in our opening show, Agatha Christie's *The Mousetrap*, directed by Ron Newell. *The Story: *After a local woman is murdered, the guests and staff at Monkswell Manor find themselves stranded during a snowstorm. It soon becomes clear that the killer is among them, and the seven strangers grow increasingly suspicious of one another. A police detective, arriving on skis, interrogates the suspects: the newlyweds running the house; a spinster with a curious background; an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef; a retired Army major; a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift; and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. When a second murder takes place, tensions and fears escalate. This record-breaking murder mystery features a brilliant surprise finish from Dame Agatha Christie, the foremost mystery writer of her time. *The Character: *GILES RALSTON – The more cautious proprietor of Monkswell Manor. Get ready for an unforgettable evening as Young Filmmakers Academy proudly presents the red carpet premiere of "Star Wars: Rise of the Younglings," an exciting fan film crafted by a remarkable group of students aged 12-17. The event will take place on August 21 at 6 PM at the **Sari Feldman Auditorium in Parma, and it is open to the public. "Star Wars: Rise of the Younglings" tells the gripping story of a fallen Padawan who succumbs to the dark side, seeking revenge against their master for being cast out of the Jedi Order. This powerful narrative promises to captivate audiences with its themes of redemption, betrayal, and the struggle between light and darkness. The evening will not only feature the premiere of this thrilling fan film but will also showcase additional works from our talented young filmmakers, including "Beyond the Page," produced by students aged 8-11 from our Beginners Film Camp, along with two projects from our after-school program. Please print and bring with you. *The story:* In this delightful companion play to Miss Bennet, Gunderson and Melcon once again bring Austen’s beloved characters to the stage for a yuletide sequel to Pride and Prejudice. While Miss Bennet depicted the newly wed Darcys’ Christmas gathering on the ground floor of Pemberley, The Wickhams takes audiences to the downstairs servants’ quarters for that same celebration. Mrs. Reynolds, a no-nonsense housekeeper; Cassie, an eager new maid; and Brian, a lovesick footman, are bustling with preparations for holiday guests. But their work is interrupted by the midnight arrival of the definitely not-invited Mr. Wickham—Lydia’s rogue of a husband and Mr. Darcy’s sworn enemy. The Wickhams is a charming holiday tale that explores the confines of class and the generosity of forgiveness. *Characters:* MRS. REYNOLDS: (50s to 70s) The housekeeper at Pemberley. She knows all and sees all and has been on staff since Darcy was a child. A mother figure to the household. CASSIE: (20s) The new housemaid. A village girl, an orphan who came from less than nothing. She takes her job very seriously but is sometimes maybe too eager and a bit headstrong. LYDIA WICKHAM: (20s) Elizabeth’s sister, married to George. Flirtatious, youthful, and self-centered, but with a bright, warm, and charming personality, if sometimes a bit much. She eloped with Wickham at 15 and is now somewhat trapped in the marriage. BRIAN: (20s) A footman. In love with technology and inventions. Sincere and earnest, perhaps a bit arrogant. GEORGE WICKHAM: (30s) Married to Lydia. Grew up at Pemberley, son of the former steward. Once a soldier, he has been in and out of trouble (of his own making) his whole life.
