For months, these seniors created and rehearsed an original, exciting, tightly-choreographed, non-stop theatrical production designed to showcase each student in front of the Broadway industry people who have the power to put them on stage.* *This is your chance to see them live and in-person before they take their show to New York City three days later -- and right before they graduate.* *LOCATION**: This concert will take place BEHIND the West Side Market, in a stand-alone building with a huge BEER sign on the top. Director Barb Fryman is looking for 2 men and 2 women, ages 30s-, s (ages flexible) CHAPTER TWO Character Descriptions *George Schnieder *(suggested age 40’s, but age is flexible) Attractive and intelligent. A recently widowed writer who struggles with the devastating loss of his wife, Barbara, is introduced to Jennie Malone by his brother Leo and is encouraged to start dating again. George is deeply affected by his grief and the memories of his deceased wife, which complicates his new relationship with Jennie. *Jennie Malone *(30’s, but age is flexible) A soap opera actress who is just divorced and is encouraged to meet George by her best friend, Faye, with help from George’s brother Leo. Jennie is someone who has been in therapy to understand what went wrong in her marriage. She is certain she is not ready to start dating again. She has a sense of humor and a kind heart. *Leo Schneider *(40’s, but age is flexible) George’s younger brother who cares deeply about his brother. He is supportive but is also aware of the challenges George faces in moving on from the death of his wife. Leo adds a layer of humor and insight as he navigates the complexities of his brother’s grief and his own struggles with marriage and infidelity. *Faye Medwick *(30’s, but age is flexible) Jennie’s best friend who is dealing with Jennie’s divorce and Faye’s own disappointment with her husband and their marriage. Faye is neurotic and anxious which emphasizes the emotional turmoil which can come from longing for a perfect love that always seems to happen to other people. The characters in *Chapter Two *are individuals but also symbols of the human experience of love and loss. They each show us how our thoughts and fears affect our own happiness and how our self-talk determines what we see our lives to be. Their interactions provide a rich tapestry of emotion and insight into being human. The listed ages of the characters are flexible. Step into the Director’s Chair – MGP 2027 🎭

Mighty Goliath Productions is officially opening director pitches for our *2027 season*, and we could not be more excited to see what ideas are out there. If you’ve ever had a show you’ve dreamed of directing—or a vision you’ve been waiting for the right moment to bring to life—this is it. MGP is a one-of-a-kind experience. Each year, we bring together a cast of over 100 performers in a no-cut, fully inclusive production that is built entirely by volunteers. Directors, performers, musicians, designers—everyone is here because they love creating something meaningful together. Because of that, we’re looking for directors who are not just excited about a show, but ready to lead it. This year, our process puts a little more focus on vision and preparation. We’ll ask you to share your ideas for the show along with a simple, early plan for how you’d bring it to life. Nothing polished or final—just a clear sense of your direction and leadership. The pitch meeting will take place on *Friday, May 15 from 6–10 pm at St. Joseph’s Parish in Avon Lake*, and each director will have a 30-minute time slot. AUDITIONS for PETER PAN and DRACULA at GATES MILLS PLAYERS

Audition Notice for PETER PAN: A RADIO PLAY and DRACULA at Gates Mills Players AUDITIONS will be held in the basement at 1460 Chagrin River Road in Gates Mills at 6PM on April 22nd & 23rd. If necessary, callbacks will be held on April 26th at 5PM. No appointments are required for auditions. Please arrive a few minutes early on your audition day prepared to read selections from the script. Individuals may audition for either one or both productions. Bring a list of conflicts between June 15th and July 19th for Peter Pan and/or conflicts between September 8th and November 7th for Dracula as well as a headshot and resume, if you have one. PETER PAN: Based on the acclaimed classic novel Peter Pan, written by J. M. Barrie, this production will be performed in July at Gates Mills Players in the style of a 1940s radio play. Actors will be seated on stage and sound effects will be produced live during the show using props! The show will also feature “advertisements” for 1940s products and services, read by the actors. DRACULA: Based on the gothic horror novel of the same name and adapted by local playwright Joe Pine, Dracula will be a fully staged production (including a special Halloween performance!), come and be a part of this chilling story–if you dare! Filming will be this summer--sometime mid-June to August (we're in pre-production now), in Willard, OH and will likely NOT be daily/consecutive filming. Costuming would be Nazi uniform with rubber gun. Shooting: 1-2 days German Captain, Male, 23-50 y.o., White / Caucasian Other Authoritative, intimidating but also detached, scary without overdoing it. He will be commanding a large group of German soldiers. Scares the pilot's helpers as he is giving orders of unknown origin and consequence (to them). Will speak in German (will work with native German speaking coach to learn script and for help with pronunciation/accent/feeling comfortable speaking naturally). Costuming would be German Soldier uniform with rubber gun. Shooting: 1-2 days (should be 1 day) Jan ("Yan") Czechoslovakian conscript (forced soldier), Male, 25-40 y.o., White / Caucasian Other Czechoslovakian conscript (forced soldier) in German army since his country fell; Explains his horrible predicament and begs for life to see his family again.
