TMP SUMMER INTENSIVE 2020PRE-PROFESSIONAL (12 - 18 YRS)JULY 27TH - AUGUST 1ST, 2020 This one week intensive is geared for serious-minded dancers interested in furthering themselves as creative artists and who wish to deepen and grow their technical and performance knowledge. This intensive provides a rigorous daily schedule in professional training, creative practice and rehearsals taught by TMP artistic directors, company members, as well as notable guest artists in the dance community. The program will focus on modern dance technique, contemporary, ballet, improvisation, composition, injury prevention and somatic practices. In addition to movement courses, the program includes courses designed to prepare young artists for a career in dance, such as, resume building, dance on film and marketing. As part of our marketing course, each artist will receive dance action shots for their portfolio. PROGRAM DETAILS Date: July 27th - August 1st, 2020 Time: 10am-4pm (M-F) Noon - 9:30 pm (Sat) Location: Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2592 W 14th St, Cleveland, OH 44113 (Tremont, Ohio) Note: The last day of the intensive will be held at Parma-Snow Branch Auditorium (2121 Snow Rd, Parma, OH 44134). Synopsis:"All that Jazz" is a slang phrase meaning "and such similar things". Don't let the name fool you; this cabaret is not your typical jazz cabaret. Lorain Community Music Theater is holding auditions for their summer show MAMMA MIA! on Sat. March 14, 2020 from 1:00-4:00pm, Sun. March 15, 2020 from 2:00pm-5:00pm and March 21, 2020 from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Auditions are held at St. Peter School, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain 44053 in the school GYM. Those auditioning will be asked to sing a 32bar cut in a vocal selection that reflects the style of the show. Bring your sheet music in the proper key. Auditions will not be permitted with any electronic accompaniment nor in acapella format. Dress for movement as a dance sequence will be taught. All roles are open and we are in search of a multi generational cast of performers, ages 10 and up. The show is Directed and Choregraphed by Monica Olejko, and Musical Direction by Anthony Trifiletti. He is a Puerto Rican-born Mexican singer and icon in Latin America, often referred to as El Sol de México. He sings “no puedo estar sin ti” “I am nothing without you.” Why is our theme in Spanish? Besides being a beautiful language, the main character in the passion project “Out of Darkness” from Emmy winning writer Alex P. Michaels is a Latina.
