Sam Brenner to Perform One-Night-Only Concert About Sam Brenner: Guitarist and vocalist Sam Brenner was named one of Northeast Ohio’s “25 Artists to Watch” by The Plain Dealer and “Artist of the Week” by Scene Magazine. He has opened for numerous national touring acts including Lifehouse, The Verve Pipe, American Idol winner Lee DeWyze, Griffin House and Bushwalla. After pursuing a full-time professional music career, traveling thousands of miles, performing hundreds of shows and cutting two studio albums, Sam returned home to NE Ohio. His harmonious debut album, Where We Begin, showcases an emotional depth and subtle confidence that is rare in most young musicians. His EP Here at Home highlights his growth, both musically and personally. At the core of Sam’s music are his lyrics – honest commentaries that seem easily relatable and delicately personal to the human experience. Ms. Peltier’s award-winning drawings are especially known for appearing realistic in nature and have been displayed in gallery and museum exhibitions, as well as in private collections. Her artwork and tutorials have also been published in various books and magazines. Lakewood's Beck Center is thrilled to announce auditions for its summer production of "*Something* *Rotten!*" Appointments are now being taken for SUNDAY FEBRUARY 23rd and MONDAY FEBRUARY 24th beginning each evening at 6PM. *To secure your appointment call 216-521-2540 x10 during regular Beck Center business hours (usually 9AM to 8PM Mon. thru Thur. and 12PM to 4PM Sundays)* For your open-call audition you will need only to prepare one 60 to 90 second vocal selection. Please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. *Dance Calls will only occur during call back sessions.* Call Backs will take place Saturday afternoon on Feb. 29th and Sunday evening on March 1st. "*Something Rotten!*" opens July 10th and closes August 9th. Rehearsals are anticipated to begin circa June 1st. The McKinley Presidential Library and Museum is holding a murder mystery entitled Murder at the Juice Joint. The performance is Thursday, March 26, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We are holding auditions on Monday February 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There are 5 men and 4 women parts though the private investigator can be played by a woman. Auditions will be held in the auditorium of the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, 800 Monument Drive NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
