Their only means of escape is helping Prince Charming figure out the name of a mischievous imp who has his eyes set on a gasp-inducing treasure. As they begin to unravel the mystery before the midnight deadline, the storm knocks out the power in the mansion, and in a twist, some of the guests get knocked out, too. Will anyone be left to crack the riddle of the imp’s name and escape? Or will a parade of surprise guests only make matters worse as even more beloved characters become victims to the unknown assailant? Role 1) Character: Dominique Frisée the very powerful Voodoo Queen of Louisiana with revenge on her “to-do” list. Director Stephen Eva is seeking a 'Sammy' to perform with the orchestra using the original Sammy Davis Jr. arrangements for many of his most well known songs (Judy and Frank are already cast). Cleveland Chamber Choir: Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil

On October 24 & 25, join the Cleveland Chamber Choir by candlelight for a concert of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s beloved "All-Night Vigil" and Reena Esmail’s "A Winter Breviary." The Vigil was one of Rachmaninoff’s favorite works, and he even requested the fifth movement (the Nunc dimittis) be sung at his funeral. Esmail’s "A Winter Breviary" takes us from winter’s darkness to spring’s light. Its harmonic language is drawn from Indian Carnatic raags (melodic modes) that are associated with the hours of prayer from dusk to dawn. Poet Rebecca Gaye Howell, who wrote the text, speaks to the connection of these works directly, “For more than a thousand years, across the world and often without knowing, these two spiritual traditions have met, together, in song. Both raags and canonical prayers offer a constancy that marks a life by the well-loved day; they both act as a kind of clock for the soul.” Join us on this profound journey of light and hope, as we consider how the idea of vigil – a period of wakefulness and watchfulness – can help us find peace in a chaotic world. Cesear's Forum Presents: CANADIAN GOTHIC & AMERICAN MODERN by Joanna McClelland Glass Starring: Tricia Bestic*, Gilgamesh Taggett, Joe Milan, Graceyn Dowd, and Jonathan Duran Two one-act plays that frames an intersection of American and Canadian perspectives from 1910 to 1976 with nods to current events. These two plays share exchanges of dialog directly to the audience and then to onstage characters. The telling illuminates time, place, societal concerns and the personal struggles with a quizzical reflection of worldviews. The former concerns Saskatchewan family life on the prairie and the conflicts of a young girl in love with an indigenous native Canadian. The latter addresses middle-aged commuter suburban life and the couple's youthful scavenger relationship with tangible bric-a-brac. Our Audio Gallery Series at Negative Space continues on October 30 at 7:30 pm! *Radio on the Lake Theatre* <www.radioonthelaketheatre.org> proudly presents the most iconic radio play of all time, H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds. This production will bring to life the same script performed in 1938 by Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre on the Air - exactly 87 years later. The play will be performed at the Negative Space Art Gallery, located at 1541 East 38th Street #2nd floor Cleveland, OH 44114 in Cleveland's AsiaTown district. The Mercury Theatre on the Air shocked the nation with its broadcast of aliens from Mars invading Earth. With its “live as it happens” narrative style, Americans were convinced that the story was real and fled from their homes in terror. "There is no greater thrill for any audio theater company than to perform this legendary script", said ROTLT Managing and Artistic Director Caroline Breder-Watts. "Orson Welles and his company were unbelievably creative in their storytelling - there was no such thing as "breaking news" in 1938. It's easy to imagine why audiences thought that an invasion was actually taking place because of the originality and artistry of their work. We only hope that we can live up to the legacy of that historic broadcast". The performance will be followed by a discussion with local journalists on the impact of the original play and the state of journalism in 2025. It will also be recorded for broadcast on WBWC 88.3 The Sting at a later date as part of ROTLT's ongoing series Radio on the Lake Theatre Presents... Sunday evenings at 5.
