I am offering my individual headshot sessions at a reduced rate of $75. These will be for an outdoor session in and around the Downtown Berea area and will be scheduled between 4-1-19 and 10-1-19. To get this rate the payment of $75 needs to be submitted between 1-27-19 and 2-10-19. By paying the $75 now you are saving $50 off of my regular rate and getting the same benefits of the full priced session which include: Approximately one hour session. Sessions actually can go anywhere from 30 to 75 minutes depending on the setting and the amount of outfits you bring. Your proofs will be emailed to you within 48 hours of the session. Three photos of your choice will be worked up per session. This includes cropping, color correction and removing blemishes. If you’d like more than three photos worked up, additional photos are only $20 each. Final worked up photos will be uploaded to a private password protected page on my website that will remain available for at least 90 days with an option to keep it going for a full year. I also give you a signed release form with unlimited print rights for your photos. That's right, you're not obligated to come to me for your prints. Many photographers that do the actual printing will limit the amount of prints and make you repurchase prints from them exclusively. Review of "Freaky Friday" at Lakeland Civic Theatre

Lakeland Civic Theatre finds the fortitude in ‘Freaky Friday’ Bob Abelman Cleveland Jewish News, The News Herald, The Morning Journal Best known for writing serious stuff, including the music for Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning “Next to Normal,” composer Tom Kitt also has a history of rescuing the occasional lightweight stray. In 2011, he helped write the music for a screen-to-stage adaptation of “Bring It On,” which was a teenage angst non-musical in its original incarnation with the tagline “Two squads, one mission: claim the title at the National Cheerleading Championships.” In 2016, he wrote the score for the fantasy comedy “Freaky Friday.” Based on a fluffy piece of teen fiction by Mary Rodgers, “Freaky Friday” is about a warring control-freak mother and rebellious adolescent daughter who accidently trade souls for a day courtesy of an enchanted object. The novel was turned into a 1976 Disney film, a lesser known 1995 TV movie on Disney-owned ABC, and a 2003 cinematic remake before becoming a musical comedy with no Broadway aspirations. Most of Kitt’s songs, written with long-time collaborator Brian Yorkey, are tuneful but unremarkable affairs that don’t serve to move along the storyline or contribute to character development. And the show has no shortage of innocuous, high-energy production numbers like “Just One Day” to keep audiences entertained if not particularly engaged intellectually or emotionally. It is, in fact, the musical and thematic antithesis of the complicated and melancholic “Next to Normal.” But then there’s “Parents Lie” and “Bring My (Baby) Brother Home,” which remind us that the guys who actually wrote “Next to Normal” are in the room. CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM PRESENTS _THE 2019 NEOMFA PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL_ ____ FEBRUARY 14 – 23 Convergence-continuum presents FIVE WORLD-PREMIERE PLAYS by local graduate-student playwrights at the 2019 NEOMFA Playwrights Festival, featuring two full-length plays and three ten-minute plays by graduate student playwrights over two weekends. At the LIMINIS THEATER, 2438 Scranton Rd, Cleveland 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood. THURS-SAT, FEB 14-16: The full-length play _Kafka in an Above Ground Pool_, an absurdist play by Renee Schilling, directed by David Munnell. This will be paired with two 10-minute plays: _We Think Differently _by Ralph Meyers, directed by Beau Reinker and _Confirmation _by Jacob Bremkamp, directed by Scott Zolkowski. THURS-SAT, FEB 21-23: The full-length play _Ghost Play_ by Morgan Elswick, directed by Amy Bistok, paired with _Bulls**t_, a ten-minute play by Klae Bainter, directed by Jonah Roth. Mic technique, studio etiquette, working like a pro. Copy analysis - Most of us are not truly reading. Voice acting - it's not what you think it is. Styles of voiceover. How to take direction, handle conflicting direction, work without direction, and raise your performance beyond the direction. Breathing, smiling, vocal production, voice placement. Reading to time. A technique for bringing life to boring copy (no, it's not talking louder!). And much more. Discovering what voiceover really is, and developing skills that clients will want to pay you for - that's our journey. This is career training. It is NOT a place for you to "try" voiceover because "it always seemed like fun." We're not dipping toes in the water here; we're forging a new future for you. Who is teaching this? I'm heard daily on national and local spots, new media, training presentations and more. QuTheatr, Akron's pre-professional performance ensemble dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth and young adults is seeking a few passionate actors to join the QuTheatr ensemble for their first fully staged theatre production! Details of stipend amounts will be shared at the audition. The all-original, company-devised project deals with the failure of anti-bullying campaigns and asks the powerful question: "How do we REALLY create a culture of kindness?" WHO WE'RE SEEKING LGBTQ+ Youth and young adults from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds who feel passionate about the arts as a vehicle for community storytelling and expression. Allies are welcome to attend, but due to the nature of the subject matter and mission of the project, priority in casting will be given to LGBTQ+ youth. Rehearsals begin in late May, Performances will be held in July, with a possible local tour in fall of 2019. There will also be several meetings and workshops held in the spring prior to beginning formal rehearsal. The audition process will end at 5pm.
