He has worked with artists such as Beyonce, Rhianna, Ricky Martin, Miley Cyrus as “Hanna Montana” and Latin superstar, Chayanne. You may have seen Blake as a dancer for the Apple Ipod campaign, Old Navy, Cingular Wireless and as a feature on “Bring It On – All or Nothing”. He has been a guest choreographer and Master Class teacher for conventions across the USA, Canada, New Zealand and the Congreso Internacional de Danza in Mexico. You may have also seen Blake in the original “So You Think You Can Dance” ad campaign. Blake currently owns “Dance Barre”, the largest dance studio in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Training dancers on a daily basis, he knows the importance of great class structure. His goal is not only to inspire and motivate each dancer, but to challenge and educate as well. Comprised of talented dancers with varied backgrounds in contemporary, modern, hip hop, tap and more, A.I.M performs works that range in movement style and tell stories that inspire personal reflection about history, societal issues and how the two intertwine. Born into hip-hop culture in the late '70s and raised with an artistic upbringing including classical cello, piano, and the visual arts, Kyle Abraham's work approaches movement as a way to deeply delve into personal identity, race and social justice issues. Abraham plays with sound, human behavior and the visual arts in choreographic collaborations that come alive on stage, creating pieces that are described by many as fresh and unique. He was the 2016 Doris Duke Artist Award recipient and 2015 City Center Choreographer in residence. A 2013 MacArthur Fellow, Kyle Abraham was one of the youngest people to be named a MacArthur "genius". Previous awards also include being named a 2012 USA Ford Fellow, a Creative Capital grantee, and receiving a 2012 Jacob's Pillow Dance Award. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS 22nd One Act Festival - Ten Below Time Frame: Submission deadline: Monday, October 1, 2018 Notification of final decisions: Via email between January 7-18, 2019 Festival Dates: April 5 - 14, 2019 (6 performances) The Fine Arts Association will once again showcase original, never been produced in the state of Ohio, 10-minute plays. Those chosen will be fully produced as part of the 22nd One Act Festival - Ten Below in April 2019 at The Fine Arts Association. The number of plays to be produced will be at The Fine Arts Association's discretion and will depend on the mix of qualified submissions. There are no submission fees for this Festival. LCCC Hosts University Partnership Lake Erie College MBA Information Sessions Lorain County Community College will hold an information session for its Lake Erie College Parker Master of Business Administration University Partnership program from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10 and Tuesday, November 13 at LCCC's University Center in room 209. Students can expect to complete the program in two years through LCCC's University Partnership. Applicants can start the program any semester - fall, spring or summer - and complete it at their own pace. Courses in the program will be held at LCCC's University Center, a facility designed specifically for students enrolled in University Partnership degree programs. The Parker MBA program is conducted in a classroom-based face-to-face setting to facilitate the type of interaction and personal development that is at the core of developing organizational leadership and management skills. Small classes are taught by professors with managerial experience and advanced academic credentials. LCCC is the first community college in Ohio to have a University Partnership program through which students can select from more than 50 different associate, bachelor's and master's degrees all offered by leading universities.
