Busy year round Halloween and Theater Costume shop located in Akron, Oh is currently accepting applications for a makeup / FX artist. Individual we are looking for should have some knowledge of Ben Nye, Mehron, and Prosaide products. Ideal candidate we would like to have basic background with FX products and their application, to assist customers with their creepy creations.This is a temporary position for the upcoming Halloween season. Great way to supplement your current income and or Christmas money.I will work around other work or school schedules.Must be dependable. 18 and over preferred. Revised and remounted from Pierre-Jacques Brault’s award-winning staging in 2010, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set on an MGM soundstage in the Golden Age of cinema. Cecil B. Demille’s latest epic ‘JOSEPH,’ is fixed to star a newcomer who is destined to change cinema’s black and white world through his technicolor dreams. All of the iconic characters that made headlines through the 1920’s and 1930’s: Rudolph Valentino, W. C. Fields, Mae West, The Little Rascals, Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor, Laurel and Hardy, and the Marx Brothers are all on hand to playfully spin this Old Testament tale. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. - *Audrey – *(High Soprano with bottom notes) Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour’s life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. - *Mr. Mushnik – *(Baritone) The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour’s nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. - *Orin Scrivello *– (Baritone with tenor qualities) An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey’s abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. - *Voice Of The Plant *– (Belt with some top notes) The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart ‘villain.’ *Gender: Male OR Female* - *Crystal, Ronnette, and Chiffon – *(Sop, Alto, and low notes) Street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM AUDITIONS FOR THE U.S. PREMIERE OF THIS MUCH (OR AN ACT OF VIOLENCE TOWARDS THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE) BY JOHN FITZPATRICK SUN, JULY 29, 7 PM (possible call-backs Mon, July 30, 7pm) AT THE LIMINIS THEATER 2438 Scranton Rd, Cleveland 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood GAR isn’t sure what he wants. His boyfriend ANTHONY is the domestic type, nice but highly strung, while ALBERT, the guy Gar has been seeing on the side, is more spontaneous and transgressive. Security or fun – which should he choose? And why should he have to? Gar just wants to dance with his friends! ROLES FOR THREE MEN, TO PLAY MID-20’S TO EARLY 30’S – ANY RACE OR ETHNICITY. DANCE EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING A PLUS FOR ALL THREE ROLES. Some brief nudity may be required for two of the roles. Equity contracts are not available for this production. GAR lives in apparent bliss with cleaning-obsessed boyfriend ANTHONY. Together, they bitch about their straight friends’ weddings and wish their moms were lesbians. Anthony is pressuring Gar into a marriage he sometimes wants and sometimes doesn’t want. But all the while Gar, not yet willing to embrace monogamy, is having an affair with wild kid ALBERT. After that, all collapses into emotional breakdowns and wild displays of seriously outrageous behavior. The ideas looked at by THIS MUCH are incredibly powerful. It successfully exposes and explores how so many aspects of modern life have evolved, yet the ideal of marriage is still coveted by the vast majority of us. The very construct was designed by and for heterosexual couples thousands of years ago, and this play proposes that non-heterosexual relationships should aspire to something different, not defined by custom.
