Yes. The DJ plays during band breaks. Who can attend? Everyone is welcome. People of all ages attend. Do I need previous dance experience? No Do I need a partner? No, we rotate dance partners during the lesson What do I wear? Wear comfy shoes that allow you to pivot and turn easily. Wear clothing that makes you feel good about yourself. What is the cost? $12 per person. No discounts or free passes may be used this month. Over 150 people attending each month and attendees have a variety of dance experience (including none) and come from all walks of life and ages. You will not need to bring a dance partner. We rotate partners during the dance lesson. How often do you get to meet 50-100 new people in under an hour? We provide the highest quality swing dance instruction from some of the nicest, most patient people you will ever meet. Our staff includes regional, national, and international swing dance competitors (and winners) in multiple swing dance forms. From 8-9pm Get Hep Swing dancers will lead a beginner-friendly, jitterbug lesson. Remember, you do not need a partner as we rotate partners during this lesson. Also, if you are attending this lesson with a partner and you prefer not to rotate, that is fine too. We are really easy going. Do what makes you happy. 9pm - 12am The L.A. Swing Barons will be sure to keep you on the dance floor all night long! We welcome anyone to join us who has an interest in dance, music, socializing and fun. We don't care what your physical ability or size is, where you are in life, where you are on the spectrum of sexual or gender orientation, what color or creed, or non-creed, you are. Are you a man who wants to learn how to follow or a woman who wants to learn how to lead? That's cool! This idea is not new to the swing dance scene. We are the easiest club to join. It is important for us to let you know that this dance style started in the African-American ballrooms of Harlem, New York in the late 1920s/early 1930s. This dance has a gritty earthiness that is incredibly empowering, beautiful, and joyful. We can't wait for you to experience this conversation of dance with us. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning book and score take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, enchanting, relevant, modern classic. Into the Woods plays in the Founders Theater through - July 1. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. During the run of Into the Woods, Weathervane is hosting a "Parents Night" on June 14. Parents can enjoy a night out to see the show and the kids will get to take a theatre class! Children ages 3-12 will enjoy different theatre games and activities with our professional Weathervane instructors. Kids will check-in at 7:00 p.m. and check-out right after bows! Needed: Volunteer Victim Role Players for Mass Casualty Drill at Hopkins Airport

Hopkins Airport is having there Tri-annual Mass Casualty Drill on Friday, September 14, 2018. Call time for victim actors is 6 AM for prep and prestaging. Drills are usually done by 1:30 or 2PM. We are in need of 150 volunteer role players to portray injured victims from an airline accident. This is NOT a paid position. Lunch will be provided for all participants. Join us for a contemporary ballet master class with Jennifer Muselin this Sunday 6/24 from 12:30-2pm at JAM Dance Academy at 35100 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville, OH 44039. $10 with pre-registration at www.clevelanddanceproject.com/workshop-registration.html $12 at the door *Former Ohio Dance Theatre Principle and Soloist, Jennifer Muselin, studied under the direction of Denise Gula for 15 years, thus perfecting her techniques in ballet, contemporary and jazz. As a child while dancing at Gina Saunders Dancecraft Studio, Jennifer trained with former Cleveland Ballet dancers, Cynthia Graham and Joseph Glowick with whom she credits her love for partnering. After graduation, Ms. Muselin attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she was awarded a scholarship for her Sophomore year. At only 19 years old, Jennifer was awarded an apprenticeship at Chicago's famed Hubbard Street Dance Company and selected to instruct summer intensives with the National Cheerleading Association. Some of Ms. Muselin's credits include Clara and Sugarplum in The Nutcracker, as well as various principle roles that were choreographed for her exclusively. Jennifer has had the pleasure of being partnered by members of the former Ohio Ballet such as Blas Cerda and Luc Vanier, as well as performed works choreographed by Mr. Vanier and Michael Medcalf, formally of the Cleveland Contemporary Dance Company. Ms. Muselin is trained in the Pilates technique which is instrumental in her teachings of both children and adults. She has choreographed shows to include Flower Drum Song, The King and I, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, Cinderella and taught summer youth programs at Oberlin College for at risk youths. After a brief hiatus from dance, in 2013 Jennifer began a new chapter in her life and opened JAM Dance Academy, a dance studio focusing on the disciplined fundamentals of ballet technique. She is proud that this fledgling studio has receive such accolades at “Best Dance Studio” in North Ridgeville in 2013-2017 and nominated for “Best Dance Studio” in Lorain County two years in a row. Ms. Muselin is ecstatic to be producing JAM Dance Academy’s third annual production of The Nutcrackerballet this December and choreographing on some of Cleveland’s most talented dancers. Jennifer is most excited to embark on her new venture as Executive and Artistic Director of her newly formed professional contemporary ballet company, Ballet Legato in 2019.
