East Cleveland Theater (ECT) is hosting auditions for "Frankenstein 1930" , written by Fred Carmichael. We are currently short one young girl, and a father figure. *Synopsis:* An adaptation of the classic novel by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Although this adaptation was published in 1996, the play is set in the 1930s. *The Roles:* Both roles that are open only appear in Act II, near the end of the show. They are both speaking roles. We are looking for an *actual* father/daughter or uncle/niece to fill these roles ... or at the very least, for the two actors to know each other prior to rehearsals. The father figure must be able to carry the young girl. This would be a great bonding time for a *actual *father/daughter or *an actual* uncle/niece ... and the roles would be great for a first timers on stage ... or just a quick addition to one's resume. For information and registration: http://talespinn erchildrenstheatre.org/education/ DATES: September 16th - November 11th (No classes Oct. 14) Pre-school (ages 3-5) Saturdays 10am-11am Kids (ages 6-10) and Early Teens (ages 11-14) Saturdays 10am-noon TCT offers three in-house Youth Theatre Arts courses per year. They take place on location at TCT—a 188 seat, ADA compliant theatre located on the eastern edge of the Detroit-Shoreway area of Cleveland's near west side. Fall and Spring classes are held on Saturdays for eight-week sessions and are broken down in appropriate age groups. Through puppets, music, movement, improvisation, story-telling and acting, students develop communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and creative expression. Each session culminates with a student-created presentation for family and friends that gives kids a taste of what goes into producing and performing a show. After a successful run as a stage play on Broadway, this intense drama made its way to the movie screen starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore. Two Marines are on trial for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial. On the opposing side is Lt. Colonel Nathan Jessep, a harsh Marine with something to hide, who sees it as his duty to do whatever it takes to protect his men and his country, with a final courtroom collision not to be missed.
