Organization: Verb Ballets Title: Data Base Manager Hours: Part time 10-12 hours/week Payrate: $18-20/hour based on experience Job Summary: Verb Ballets is seeking a Database Manager to assist our company move into the next generation of relational database management. We are currently using cloud based customer relationship management software Donor Tools. We utilize our current database to track donor gifts, mailing lists, the goal will to be to expand to include grants tracking. The Database Manager will work with Producing Artistic Director and Community Engagement on finding the best solutions for each for targeting mailing and donor mailings. The Database Manager will be responsible for entering gifts, thanks you and design protocols to maintain the new database. The Database Manager will also play an important role in providing administrative support for the grants and finance departments, including activities of grant data input, processing invoice requests, and bookkeeping duties to maintain internal controls. This position will be need to be a self-starter and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Additional roles will require light administrative work and assistance with productions. Work for well-known dance institution that offers flexible work schedule that requires on site office hours. Responsibilities: * Ensures effective record process for all database related information. * Secures database by developing policies, procedures, and controls. * Maintains database performance by troubleshooting problems. * Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. * Prepares for database upgrades and expansion by studying plans and requirements, coordinates design. * Manages all data content of database for grant requests and grant awards. * Designs and creates reports from database for use by staff and board. * Modifies database to maintain current practices. * Works with multiple departments on database needs. * Processes contributions from entry, bank deposit and thank you through the database. * Maintain paper and electronic records for donor gifts. * Processes electronic payments as part of the accounting internal controls. * Make and record bank deposits, credit card reports and Paypal transactions for the Accountant. * Trains and informs all internal users of the database as needed. Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience * Experience in the performing arts or nonprofit work preferred * Backend experience with relational databases such as Razor Edge, Donor Perfect * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated skills in attention to detail and organization * Proven abilities in analytical, database and reporting skills * Positive and professional demeanor with strong ability to work well with colleagues and in team environments * Ability to complete projects independently when given directives and proactively problem solve * Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work * Attention to detail and problem solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills All interested candidates please send resume to mcarlson(a)verbballets.org.
