We're finalizing plans for the Spring 2025 Voice Acting Fundamentals class! Please fill your piggy bank and clear your calendar for Saturdays in March and April - here comes 12 jam-packed hours of essential training for the work of voice acting! Learn from a 35+ year voiceover pro how to interpret the script and make it your own! Sessions will be held at the Colors Audio studios in Akron. The fee for this class in the past has been $750; this year we’ll have an Early Bird discount available. “Bus Stop” Opens February 21st at Broadview Heights SpotlightsTheater In the middle ofa howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at to a cheerfulroadside diner. All roads are blocked, and four or five weary travelers aregoing to have to hole up until morning. Written by Pulitzer Prize winningplaywright William Inge, Broadview Spotlights Theater presents "BusStop" as its first production of 2025. "Bus Stop" was mostfamously made into a 1956 film starring screen legend Marilyn Monroe. The show runsFridays and Saturdays, February 21-March 8 at 7:30 PM, with one Sunday matineeon March 2 at 3 PM. All shows will be at the Broadview Heights SpotlightsTheater, on the Broadview Center property, 9543 Broadview Road. The theater islocated next to the Police Station. Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 forseniors and students and can be purchased online at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org As the annualcoffeehouse production, the Spotlights’ 2019 Expansion is transformed into acoffeehouse-style venue with table seating on three levels. Revamping FilmFreedom Productions - Looking for New Team Members

Hello everyone - I have been a silent member of this group for a few years, and I wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone would be interested in working together. My name is Carson Coombs. I am 23 years old, and I grew up very involved in the performing arts. I was in numerous theatrical productions, a few feature films, and I worked behind-the-scenes on numerous projects. Some of the projects I am most proud of are those that I directed and produced. I always thought that I would work in film as a professional career; however, in high school, I found a new profound interest in the medical field, so I ended up putting a hold on the arts, and went through college to become a registered nurse. I am now a registered nurse working in Cleveland, Ohio. Recently, I wanted to get back into producing and directing as a hobby, and I wanted to reach out to see if anyone would be interested in being apart of this endeavor. I have a film company with my best friend Jordan called FilmFreedom Productions. We have a short series posted on our YouTube that we did when we were in high school. Jordan now resides in Los Angeles, so it is nearly impossible to work on projects together in-person, but we would love to collaborate with some of you virtually. We aspire to bring our film company back to life, write short films, produce them, and get them published. Playmakers Youth Theatre Spring Auditions - Into The Woods, Winnie The Pooh & Playmakers Jr!

There may be snow on the ground, but Spring is beginning at Playmakers Youth Theatre as we head into the second half of our 2024-2025 Season! Into The Woods Jr. - for 4th-9th graders Directed by Annie Perusek Assistant Director - Liza Kammer and Music Director - Allison Ritley Shows: May 7, 8, 13 & 14 Auditions: Sunday, February 9th at 12:30 PM Auditions for our 4th-9th grade production of Into The Woods Jr are right around the corner! Auditions are callback style, so participants are asked to arrive at 12:30 PM to learn a song from the score together before individual auditions. No need to prepare anything! Into the Woods beautifully weaves classic tales together as it celebrates imaginative storytelling -- don't miss your chance to bring this special show to life.
