What do English and Scottish ancestry, Hungarian cultural heritage, and DNA roots in Africa tell me about who I am today? What power is revealed by speaking their words? The discovery of identity and truth through the voices that came before. The Liminis Theater becomes a gallery of historic artifacts which Chuck Richie curates as he transforms and becomes the many voices of the past in this unique one-man performance. THREADS OF COMPASSION is the first of five special productions in con-cons Tweener Series of solo and duo one-weekend only performances presented between our regular season offerings. Boots and Ballet in a barn!

Think barns are meant only for horses and hay? Neos Dance Theatre and Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center (RTEC) think barns are also a perfect for ballet. The two non-profit organizations are hosting their second *Boots and Ballet, A Kentucky Derby Night at the Races* in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7. The fundraiser will begin at 4 p.m. in the historic riding arena of RTEC, 569 South Trimble Road, Mansfield, with live streaming of the Derby and pre-Derby races projected onto a large screen. Guests can bid on the races and silent auction items throughout the evening and Neos Dance Theatre will perform from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Bluegrass band Good Luck Eloise will play at 5:15 p.m., local high school barbershop quartet The Twilights will play during the early part of the event, and the Jimmy Warner Band will play for dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. Premium tickets are $50, which includes access to all performances and activities, including stable tours at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Premium ticket holders will also have full access to the VIP Lounge with fare catered by Doc’s Deli starting at 5:30 p.m. and two drink tickets from the cash bar from Phoenix Brewery beer, Cyprus Hill wine, and assorted American and imported beers and sodas. General admission tickets are $25, which includes access to all performances and activities. Tickets for students and seniors are $15 with ID.
