I am looking for some musicians to play “Into The Woods” at Walsh Jesuit High School. Orchestra rehearsal is March 6 at 6pm, dress reh 3/7 and 8 at 5pm, shows 3/10 and 17 at 7pm. 3/11,12,18,19 at 7:30pm, 3/12,13,19,20 at 2pm, 3/18 at 9am. It is possible sub out what you can’t make. $600 for the run. I’m specifically in need of French Horn, Flute, Piano, Bassoon, Cello. Swing dance tonight at the Slovenian Workmen's Home

Be sure to arrive in time to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8pm to 9pm with Valerie Salstrom. We always review the basic Jitterbug step, talk about the basics of leading and following, and then show a few new moves. Each lesson is unique and you will always pick up new moves and hints each time you attend a pre-dance lesson at a Get Hep Swing event. These lessons are appropriate for brand spankin' new dancers all the way up to advanced dancers. You will not be disappointed! Immediately after the lesson (at 9 PM) the Syncopated Sin Swing Band will kick off an awesome night of music and swing dancing until 12am. Everyone is welcome to come and have fun with us at the swing dance. There is no need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner. We rotate partners during the lesson so you will have the chance to meet and dance with lots and lots of people before the live music even begins! If you are attending the dance with a partner and do not want to rotate, that is fine too. No need to make reservations or buy tickets in advance. The event is $12 per person. $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID. $5 for first timers. The Waterloo Ballroom at the Slovenian Workmen's Home is located in the very artsy and lively Collinwood neighborhood. The address is 15335 Waterloo Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44110. The Slovenian not only has a beautiful ballroom; they also have a well stocked bar. They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks of all kinds for sale--including a very special Slovenian beer- Lasko! There will also be some sweet and savory snacks for sale as well. The sign for the Slovenian has been taken down so please look for the sign for Packy Malleys. Our entrance is just to the left of them. There are TWO parking lots to the right of the ballroom and there is also some street parking as well. Kent State University at Stark Theatre presents The Bicentennial Project Kent State University at Stark will present their second theatrical production of the 2015-16 season. The Bicentennial Project by Arwen Mitchell was created in collaboration with The Canton Repository. The play will be performed on February 27, March 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. and on February 28 and March 6 at 2:30 p.m. in the Kent State Stark Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for the performance on March 6 at 2:30 p.m. Take an authentic walk into 200 years of life in Ohio's Stark County as portrayed through the powerful lens of the media. In collaboration with The Canton Repository, this tapestry-style play is the narrative of our community. Experience living excerpts of history that reveal where we came from, how we got here and where we are going. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for non-Kent State students, children under 17 and senior citizens. All Kent State students are admitted free of charge with current student ID.
