*Auditions for Clague Playhouse’s The Ghost Train* Mark your calendars: auditions for the first show of Clague Playhouse’s 88th season will take place on Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. Arnold Ridley’s gripping *The Ghost Train* (1923) is set in a gloomy English train station, where nine stranded travelers become increasingly more uneasy about the phantom the stationmaster claims appears on the tracks each night. Director Ron Newell is casting the following roles: *Men* *Teddie Deakin*: mid 30s to 40s. A “silly-ass” type. *Saul Hodgkin*: 50s. The curmudgeonly stationmaster. *Richard Winthrop*: 30 to 40. Elsie’s domineering husband. *Charles Murdock*: early 20s. Well set-up, pleasant, newly married to Peggy. *Herbert Price*: 50s. A businessman…and something more. *John Sterling*: 40s to 50s. A doctor, Price’s friend…and again, something more. *Inspector Jackson*: 30s to 40s. The long arm of the law. Two *Police Officers* *Women* *Miss Bourne*: 60 or above. Severe-looking, almost mannish spinster. *Julia Price*: late 20s. Fluttery bordering on hysterical. *Elsie Winthrop*: late 20s: Self-reliant with a bit of a temper, married to Richard. *Peggy Murdock*: early 20s. Newly married to Charles. Sandstone Summer Theatre of Amherst, Ohio is holding a registration Friday for their production of Seussical the Musical, Jr. Rehearsals begin June 22, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with performances July 24 - 25, 2015. You must be a resident of Lorain County to register and you must have finished 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, but not yet in high school. Cleveland POPS Orchestra Chorus, William Zurkey, Choral Director Announces Auditions Cleveland POPS Orchestra Chorus will be holding auditions for new members for our upcoming 2015-2016 20th Anniversary concert season Auditions will be held one day only - Thursday, August 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in room G-17 of the Music and Communications Building, Cleveland State University, downtown campus. The Cleveland POPS Orchestra Chorus is a membership organization that performs with Carl Topilow and the Cleveland POPS Orchestra at numerous concerts and events throughout the Orchestra's concert season. Most performances will take place at Severance Hall and PlayhouseSquare Center. The chorus will rehearse on most Monday evenings from September through May. Singers (ages 18 and up) wishing to audition must have previous choral experience and demonstrate good tone quality and sight-reading skills.
