EVENT: Dover Players Presents Family Fun in Fractured Fairy Tales Fractured Fairy Tales The Three Wishes / The Princess Who Couldnt Laugh We present two adaptations of lesser known fairy tales that come with a traditional lesson to be learned. The collection of stories by the Grimm brothers and folktales from around the world were a way for families and friends from an earlier time to both entertain and teach. Bring the family! Suitable for ages 5 and up! Each show approximately ½ hour long Treats/prizes given to children after the show! Children will sit on blankets or on benches in front of the actors. Great Lakes Theater Announces Auditions for Actor-Teachers Great Lakes Theater (GLT) announces auditions for non-Equity actor-teachers for its School Residency Program for the 2015-2016 school year. Actors of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition. These are full-time, seasonal, paid positions, offered from August/September, 2015 through May, 2016. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in any discipline, as well as previous stage experience or actor training. Teaching experience or prior work with elementary, junior high or high school age students is a plus, but not required. Applicants must have a valid driver license, a reliable automobile and complete a background check. Applicants are requested to prepare one Shakespearean monologue and one contrasting contemporary monologue for the audition. Both monologues should total no more than three minutes combined. All auditions are by appointment only. Applicants must schedule an audition online. Great Lakes Theater Launches CAMP THEATER! A Summer Theater Camp for Students Ages 4-18. CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater will present CAMP THEATER! a summer drama camp held at Berea-Midpark High School for students ages 4-18. Students can sign up for one or both weeks of camp, which will run June 8-12, and June 15 19, 2015. Immersing students in interactive and educational theater-based activities, CAMP THEATER! is a unique opportunity for students to work with and learn from Great Lakes Theaters professional teaching artists in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Daily classes will be held at Berea-Midpark High School in one-week sessions from Monday through Friday. Students may enroll in one or both week-long sessions as different material will be covered each week. The program is designed for students of all levels of experience and ability. There is no audition required. Classes will be divided by students respective ages.
