Academy for Dramatic Arts in Berea, Ohio seeks qualified teaching artists for (2) one- week summer theater camps. Session A: June 17-21 9am-12pm Session B: July 8- 12 9am-12pm Camp Description: Perfect for the new or experienced actor. Students will learn and refine the basics of building a character, stage presence, blocking, props, and set design through an abbreviated rehearsal process while working on a one-act play. The class culminates in a one-afternoon-only performance on the final day of camp. Pay: Depending on camp enrollment $400-$450 per session. Top consideration will be given to those teaching artists available for both camp sessions. But if you're only available for one please still reach out. We may be able to work with you. cleveland PUBLIC theatre Cleveland Act Now (CAN) Academy Announces FREE, In-Person Programming this Summer *SESSION ONE: June 10 – June 28, 2024 for JUNIORS (7 - 10-year-olds)* *SESSION TWO: July 8 – August 2, 2024 for SENIORS (11 - 14-year-olds)* Join us for *Why the Summer Comes and Goes, *a 3-week (Juniors) or 4-week (Seniors) intensive summer arts program for young artists that is rewarding and fun. Under the guidance of CPT Teaching Artists, youth will be introduced to folktales shared across different cultures, and together, we will create an original folktale of our own, performed as a collaborative, theatrical piece. Youth will explore storytelling through creative writing, improvisation, character development, dance, visual arts, and more! Enrollment is determined on a first-come, first-served basis and requires submitting an application to the program. *Families must submit an application by May 24th.* Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and families will be notified of enrollment by May 31st. Enrollment is capped at 16 young artists per session. This program is offered at NO COST, thanks to the support of the Cleveland Foundation and other generous supporters.
