Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Beautiful and Damned,” adapted by Abbey Marshall, follows 25-year-old Anthony Patch, the unambitious and braggadocious presumptive heir to his wealthy grandfather’s fortune. He and his wife, Gloria, enjoy the spoils of youth and beauty in American cafe society during World War I, until their reckless pursuit of happiness ultimately ruins them. CHARACTER BREAKDOWN: ANTHONY PATCH: 20s, male. A Harvard alumnus and heir to his grandfather's large fortune. He is unambitious and unmotivated but believes he is superior to those around him and destined for greatness. GLORIA GILBERT: 20s, female. A vain society girl who values beauty over all else. ADAM "CROSS" PATCH: 60s/70s, male. Anthony's wealthy grandfather who values hard work. RICHARD "DICK" CARAMEL: 20s, male. Anthony's Harvard friend. A writer, obsessively dedicated to his craft. Last Night of AUDITIONS IN DOYLESTOWN TONIGHT

Thank you for a great first night of open auditions last night!! We're doing it one more time TONIGHT from 6 - 8pm at the Blue Macaroon Theater! 84 1/2 N Portage St Doylestown. OH This is a wonderful opportunity for any aspiring young actors ages 8 - 18. We hope to see you there! Clara’s journey to Queen: an original Blue Macaroon Theater production! This is the fantastical story of a young princess finding herself and her friends. When her cat is kidnapped and her love is taken away from her, she risks it all to escape her family’s expectations. She learns of love, betrayal, and what it truly means to have a best friend forever. A happy ending for a coming of age story, she learns and adapts for what is her calling. Clara’s Journey is written by local writer and student Dakota Dunn. She will be directing alongside her mother Cari Dunn to bring this youth written show to the stage. The show will perform Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23rd at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 24th at 2:00 p.m. Please be prepared to have a cold read from the script. A prepared monologue is not mandatory, but welcomed. Auditions are open for all roles, for ages 8-18. Character Description: CJ (he/him), child, Mixed Race, Bicultural, Black, Afro-Latine, of Latin American and/or Caribbean descent. Nana's grandson, a curious, smart, young boy that loves animals. He doesn't have many friends back home, and he has to stay with his grandma for the weekend and is counting the hours until he can get back home. Leading role.
