Only a handful of slots remains for auditions for the opener of our 2023-2024 Season, Willy Wonka, Jr on Sunday August 27th. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this one-of-a-kind production!Auditions run from 3 to 5 with callbacks to immediately follow from 5-6:30pm so please plan to stay unless you are released after auditions. Auditions for our fall youth show, Willy Wonka Jr. are a little different from “normal” auditions. Our two hour audition slots include time to get to know one another, acting games, signing and dancing. All you have to do is come ready to move and have fun! Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences. This production will be unlike any version of The Wizard of Oz you’ve seen, while maintaining all the characters, songs, and story of the beloved 1939 movie classic. Dorothy is just trying to get the heck outta Oz and we want you to be a part of it. Directed by Sarah Lynne Bailey and Kevin Cline Music directed by Lisa Hirzel Choreographed by Gabbi Capello Costumed by Amy Lence SHOW DATES: November 3 - 12 Theatre Agápe is committed to creating a unique vision of the Wizard of Oz, with a cast as individualized as the story. ALL ROLES are open to any gender presentation, color, nationality, sexuality, or physical ability. Your pronouns will be respected. The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland is now selling tickets for the annual musical benefit production, THE POWER OF GOOD Join us for a cabaret evening of music, laughter, and optimism, as we remember two of our departed friends, Brian Bowers and Kevin Kelly and celebrate the good that we all can do! And that's what these benefit productions are all about: having fun while we raise money to support the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, which has been doing good in our Northeast Ohio community since 1983!
