Core departmental work includes donor communications, special events management, capital campaign coordination, expense management, and grants management, as well as supervising the work of the Donor Relations Associate and the Grants Writer, which include: donor benefits, database management, support services for internal and external meetings, preparation of donor materials, proofreading and editing, correspondence and documentation related to grants, funder research, and filing systems maintenance. Cleveland Play House Wig and Hair Technician and Dresser Job Posting Classification: Temporary (show specific), part-time, non-exempt Term of Employment: American Mariachi: 9/13/2022 – 10/9/2022 Reports to: Costume Shop Supervisor Pay: $17.00/hour Cleveland Play House (CPH) is seeking a Hair and Wig Technician and Dresser to join the Wardrobe team for the production of American Mariachi. CLEVELAND CLINIC SIMULATION AND ADVANCED SKILLS CENTER *What*: Standardized Patient (SP) work for ages 18 and over *Where*: Cleveland Clinic main campus *When*: Various Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoons for the medical college Individual dates for Special Projects *Pay*: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour plus free parking NEW applicants: Thank you for your interest in the Standardized Patient (SP) program at the Cleveland Clinic Simulation and Advanced Skills Center. SPs are people who portray patients in cases which are used to train caregivers in Communication Skills. SPs also present as themselves in Physical Diagnosis sessions. Special Project SPs present in a variety of learning simulations. - We have sessions every week from September to May. Special Projects occur on various dates throughout the year. - Events are by invitation only. SP work is dependent upon the cases needed for any given project and whether any of the patient profiles in the cases match your profile. - Invitation will be sent via scheduling app through email *Communication Skills Simulations* Sessions occur on various Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. You will not be needed all Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons; you will be invited for specific dates. You must memorize the character profile of a particular patient. We have a virtual 2-hour training session that accompanies each of the Communication Skills cases. You will be paid for this training. *Physical Diagnosis Simulations* Sessions occur on various Tuesday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. For this type of session, you must wear a hospital gown. *Stigma: the truth and face of mental illness* *Opening Reception Sunday August 28th from 2 to 4 pm.* *Chagrin Arts* *88 N. Main Street* *Chagrin Falls* *On display through September 30th* Rocky Encalada is a photographer, actor, and director, originally from Miami, FL. As someone who spent years in front of the cameras, it was not surprising that she would eventually find her way behind it. Her first passion as a child was black and white movies that she enjoyed with her father. This led to a love of acting and film. Eventually a simple point and shoot camera would be gifted to her, but it was that magic made by the actors that would captivate her for decades to come. She worked in film, commercials, modeling, and many other realms that put her in front of the camera. At the age of 30, she began to pursue her higher education in all things theatre. After graduating with her MFA from Kent State University, she became frustrated with the quality of the headshots her private acting students were getting and decided to pick up a camera and help them get a better product to put in front of directors like herself. During this time, she also served 7 years as the Exhibits Chair for the Cleveland Photographic Society, one of the oldest and largest photography clubs in the United States, bringing the world of photography to public spaces for all audiences to enjoy. As a portrait photographer she tries to find the essence of every individual she photographs. Her various degrees in theatre (she has 4) allows her to see the picture from every angle before making the image. She uses her knowledge of human nature from decades as an actor to not only capture the individual in her frame, but to allow the audience a glimpse into who they are and sometimes, even who they did not realize they could be. She now lives in Lakewood with her husband, Eric, and their four cats, whose names all end in the ‘ee’ sound.
