Summer auditions are here and are you prepared? Dr. Christopher Hutton, baritone, is taking new voice students and excited to get you physically and mentally prepared for auditions and performances. Lessons will prepare each student for school Regional and All-State auditions, theatre auditions and college auditions in voice performance. Lesson prices are as follows: One-Hour Lesson is $60, Forty-Five minute Lesson is $50, Thirty minute Lesson is $40. Students range from all ages and those who have an interest in classical and musical theatre. Students consist of all ages and center around high school or younger who show an interest in performing at local theaters and their school choral and musical productions. Lessons will take place on Saturday morning/afternoon. Lessons are taught out of my home in Cleveland Heights. Christopher attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors in Voice Performance. MORITZ: (Male, should read 15-20 years old. Tenor) Melchior's best friend and a troubled student. He desperately tries to please his father, but always seems to disappoint him. His haunting sexual dreams and academic failures eventually drive him to suicidal thoughts. Seeking an actor willing and able to explore the darkness of angst and depression and be able to physicalize extraordinarily strong feelings. WENDLA: (Female, should read 15-20 years old.Mezzo-Soprano) Innocent. With every passing day, she grows more curious about the world around her and her changing body. Mezzo-Soprano) Martha's sister, who was also abused and has run away from home to live in an artists' colony. She reaches out to her old friend Moritz in the last moments of his life. *Broadview Heights Spotlights Theaterpresents "Silent Sky"May 6-21, 2022* "Silent Sky", by Lauren Gunderson, is based on the captivating true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a woman “computer” at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s. This semi-historical drama explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them. As Henrietta, in her free time, attempts to measure the light and distance of stars, she must also take measure of her life on Earth, trying to balance her dedication to science with family obligations and the possibility of love. The production is directed by Ryan Bergeron and Roxanna Bell, costumed by Meghan Barylak, and co-produced by Tim Anderson and Sarah Price. The cast includes Katie Atkinson, Tara Corkery, Andrew Keller, Peggy Newton, and Theresa Pedone. The show runs through May 21st, at 7:30PM on Fridays and Saturdays, with a Sunday matinee on May 15th at 3:00PM.
