Auditions for Inclusive Comedy Troupe

We're inviting YOU to audition for CADA’s Comedy Troupe, an innovative and groundbreaking project funded in part by the Ohio Arts Council, on September 21 and 23 from 6-8PM! The virtual audition will consist of an interview with Director Ruben Ryan and Assistant Director John Lynch, followed by an improv session with three applicants at a time. Physical address The Next Stage Comedy Troupe will provide an opportunity for a group of ten to fifteen actors with autism and/or disabilities to form an online comedy troupe as a pilot program for our 2021-2022 season. Selected troupe members will meet with guest artists to further their writing, collaborating, and performing skills throughout the fall. Members will also learn the practical aspects of forming a comedy troupe, taking turns in the roles of stage manager, technical director, while also learning basic marketing and advertising techniques. The troupe will manage a YouTube presence and master the essential aspects of developing online revenue streams. The troupe's first performance will be a comedy showcase in early December 2021.
