The Players Guild Theatre welcomes the exciting return of “A Christmas Carol: The New Musical” - The original musical adaptation from creators Steve Parsons and John Popa. This lively musical tells the ghostly story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the emotional journey towards his redemption, told through soul stirring melodies and a soaring score. We are now casting for Canton's most beloved holiday tradition. Be a part of the magic this holiday season. The Players Guild Production team for A CHRISTMAS CAROL; The New Musical includes: Joshua Erichsen, Producing Artistic Director Michael Lawrence Akers, Director/Choreographer Steve Parsons, Music Director Auditions will be held at the Players Guild Theatre located in the Cultural Center for the Arts, 1001 Market Ave N., on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20 from 7:00 – 9:30 PM. Non-traditional casting will be considered for all roles. Interested parties should sign up for a time slot by filling out the available online form at www.playersguildtheatre.com Walk-ins are permitted and will be accommodated with the first available time slot. Those auditioning are asked to please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song that best features their vocal ability, as well as bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Additionally, actors are asked to bring a current headshot and resume (if available) with them to their audition. I am currently in Production on my Senior Thesis and in need of Actors for my final film "Broken Rose's": Broken Rose's- A young woman must try to find reality in a mundane world, but a lurking medical condition threatens to stop her in her tracks. I am in need of Actors and Actresses for the Following Characters, all roles are speaking parts in this project a Continental Breakfast and Catered Lunch will be provided. Roles Available: Dr. Edith MacArthur "Grandma" Caucasian Female, 60-70 years old, Chief Medical Psychologist, Dr. MacArthur is a grandmotherly figure according to a 21 year old Schizophrenic Patient "Ashley"(Whom has already been cast). Researchers at CWRU are planning to produce videos that might help to reduce the stigma of epilepsy. We’re looking for people who might be interested in appearing in one or more of these videos, as well as people who may be interested in helping out with production. If you’re 18 years or older, have epilepsy, or know someone with epilepsy we want to hear from you! Most likely we will select individuals in the 18 - 29 year range for the various parts. However, we may also consider other individuals, with or without epilepsy, for parts as extras, voice actors, or other roles. Stow Players Holiday Show Auditions

Stow Players is looking for children and adults of all ages to fill the 23 parts (some doubling) for this year's holiday show, "Santa's Spectacles," by Jeanne A. Davis and Jim Foote. The story: The neighborhood children have labeled Prunella Crookshank "Cranky" Crookshank - she never smiles, is always shooing them away, and worst of all - doesn't believe in Christmas! When Santa's spectacles are lost and become confused with Prunella's, she wears them, and all of a sudden becomes merry and lovely. But Santa must have his specs back so he can make his Christmas Eve visit to all the children! Prunella returns them, only to find life becoming stale and gloomy again. Then Jingles, a little elf, gives Prunella a smile for Christmas, and once she wears it, her own glasses stay in place and start showing her a bright, happy world around her. Auditions for "Santa's Spectacles" will be on Sunday, October 25, at 3:00 at the Heritage Barn (Young Rd. entrance to Silver Springs Park), and on Monday, October 26, at 7:00 at the Stow Acme Community Room (4445 Kent Rd., Stow). Lots of roles for children of all ages - adults, too! A perfect way for families or several family members to enjoy their time together. Auditions are open to everyone!
