Greetings list, I have limited space for new students, adults and children, in my studio. I would like to complete my 2015 roster with eager and engaged students who want to benefit from my years as a teacher, musical director, accompanist and performer before I move on from Cleveland Heights. I am a classically-trained pianist and have many years experience in Musical Theater and popular & folk repertoire, as both a musical director and as a singing/playing performer. I play enough guitar to accompany myself and sing at the same time :):) I do vocal coaching and can work with you on audition material and providing tracks for you to practice your songs with. I am not a voice teacher, but my background as a musical theater director can help you to prepare for auditions, open mic and other performance situations. I am very strong in teaching piano technique and the fundamentals of that instrument. I teach to the individual student, so let's discuss what you would like to accomplish. The second season of Coach House Theatre's latest venture, our "Artists' Choice: Black Box Series," begins with James McClure's Lone Star. The show will be performed in a limited two-night run, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, October 6 and 7, at 8 p.m. In this comedy set in Maynard, Texas, at the end of the Viet Nam War, a former bad boy tries to recapture his lost youth by drinking Lone Star beer outside a seedy bar. Lone Star features Ryan Zarecki as war vet Roy, Derrick Winger as his slow but loveable brother Ray, and Jason Leupold as Cletis, their annoying dweeb of a former classmate. The production is directed by Coach House Artistic Director Nancy Cates. The Artists' Choice: Black Box Series shows are not part of Coach House's Subscription Series, and are chosen to appeal to audiences who prefer edgier, more contemporary fare than Coach House's traditional programming. (Lone Star contains adult language, and is not for the faint of heart!) In our production, we take this classic tale of human nature and set it inside a Rubber Factory around the end of the Great War (WWI), and ending around the great depression. As the play progresses we will see the transformation of the Macbeth's from workers, to leaders, to warriors. CPT is seeking a fun-loving, accomplished pianist for THE LOUSH SISTERS LOVE DICK’NS: GREAT EXPECTATIONS Cleveland Public Theatre is in need of an accomplished pianist for its upcoming production of The Loush Sisters Love DICK’ens: Great Expectations. Wandering Aesthetics, The Akronist and Firestone Park Branch Library are proud to announce the next Full Circle Storytelling: An Open Mic for Community Storytellers event. Full Circle Storytelling is a free event and open to the public. This Full Circle Storytelling event will be held on Tuesday, October. 13th from 6 pm – 7:30 pm at Firestone Park Branch Library, located at 1486 Aster Ave. • Akron, OH. Registration is encouraged (especially for storytellers), but not required.
