Words, Words, Words - David Ives Recall the physical adage that monkeys typing into infinity will sooner or later produce "Hamlet", and then ask: What would monkeys talk about at their typewriters? St. Francis Talks to the Birds - David Ives A comic excursion into death and dying in which the holy man meets a couple of desert vultures waiting to turn him into dessert. Moby-Dude, or: The Three-Minute Whale - David Ives A stoned-out surfer dude summarizes Melville's classic for his skeptical high-school teacher in a high-speed monologue. Bodaciously tubular, man! Crazy Eights - David Lindsay-Abaire When Connie comes home late one night, she finds her parole officer waiting in her apartment with a....torte....and a long list of questions. The interrogation (which turns into a courting dance) that follows gets complicated by the after-hours arrival of a friend of Connie's. That Other Person - David Lindsay-Abaire Tonight is the night Ginge and Kevin are going to tell their respective spouses the marriage-shattering secret they've been keeping from everyone. But their bombshell gets put on the back burner when a lovely peeping-tom, with secrets of her own falls in the pool and nearly drowns. Kent State University at Stark Theatre presents Blur Kent State University at Stark will present Blur by Melanie Marnich as the final theatrical event of the 2014-15 season on April 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. and on April 19 and 26 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for the performance on April 26 at 2:30 p.m. Opening night is Scholarship Night with proceeds benefitting students in Kent State Stark theatre and music programs. A genetic disease is gradually robbing Dot of her eyesight. Her relationships with her mother and friends are challenged during her struggle for independence and self-assertion. With the help of her boyfriend, best friend and a wayward priest, Dot brings the audience on a journey that discovers the kind of vision needed not only to prevail over this disease, but to thrive with spirit, humor and hope. For mature audiences only, due to sexual content and strong language. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for non-Kent State students, children under 17 and senior citizens. GSP! last performed Durang with *Baby with the Bathwater* two seasons ago. GSP! is delighted beyond words to empower Jacki Dietz in her directorial debut with *The Actor’s Nightmare*, a comic exploration of that moment every actor has experienced: the dread dream of going on stage and having no clue what the show is! With the marvelous ensemble cast of Benjamin Seeley, Ellen Fox, Patrice Rittenhouse, Linda Alexander-Radak, and Roman Feemster, and stage managed by Dana Marshall, the foibles and flubs of* The**Actor’s Nightmare* will leave the audience gasping with laughter. Following is director Doug Tennant’s *Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You*, featuring Joey Anderson, Benjamin Seeley, Jacki Dietz, Tiffeny Brown, and Roman Feemster, and starring Holly Barstow Riley as the nun who has the answer to all life’s problems.
