Stand up Comics

For all "Comics", or all "Comic Wannabee's" who want to hone their skills in front of a live audience, there is a potential venue available. Zappittelli's Restaurant, located in the former Stonewater Grill at Stonewater Country Club in Highland Heights, has asked me to find comics interested in an "open mic" night at the restaurant. The time frame would be for a couple of hours, probably during the week, where you would have a 15 minute, give or take, set to perform your act. We are looking for about 5 to 7 comics to fill the space. Time permitting, you may be asked to go twice. This is a great opportunity to be seen and to practice your skills. ONLY TWO MORE WEEKENDS TO SEE "WOLVES" -- A DARKLY COMIC, PREDATORY URBAN FAIRY TALE FOR ADULTS, NOW ONSTAGE AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM WOLVES takes place during a long and eventful night at the apartment of Ben and Jack. Ben has recently moved from a small town to the big city, where he develops a full-blown paranoia about the place where he lives, which he thinks of as the deep, dark forest, and has an outrageous fear of the wolves that prowl it. To taunt the clingy, jealous Ben, Jack brings home a wolf from a bar one night. Though a series of misunderstandings, things turn violent (that ax is involved) and its up to the sardonic female narrator to guide us through to the end of this postmodern spin on the Red Riding Hood tale.
