Using live action, puppets, music, magic and more, THE SILENT PRINCESS (a Turkish Folktale) tells a story of friendship and courage that reaches across time and place and into the hearts of its audience. The Padishah's son is sick with loneliness, despite his family's riches. His dearest wish is to be best friends with the Silent Princess. But the Silent Princess sees no reason to talk to anyone. She has sworn to befriend only the person who can convince her to break her silence. With the help of his magical mouse companion, can the Padishah's son persuade the Silent Princess to speak - and be his friend? EVENT: Fun and Prizes for the kids!!! Last Weekend for Dover Players Family Show - Fractured Fairy Tales This is something to see, even for the adults. This is classical theater in the style of the traveling troupes of actors, playing these fairy tales around the country. Fractured Fairy Tales The Three Wishes / The Princess Who Couldnt Laugh We present two adaptations of lesser known fairy tales that come with a traditional lesson to be learned. The collection of stories by the Grimm brothers and folktales from around the world were a way for families and friends from an earlier time to both entertain and teach. Fun for the entire family! § Bring the family! Suitable for ages 4 and up! § Each fairy tale is approximately ½ hour long § Treats/prizes given to children after the show! § Children will sit on blankets or on benches in front of the actors. Performers will pay tribute to the era with original arrangements of Christina Aguilera, The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears and more. *“Dirty Pop: The Millennium Mixtape”* is the inaugural concert in CSA’s new concert series that celebrates various beloved aspects of pop culture in a festive evening of song. Following the current trend set in New York by such popular series’ as “Broadway Sings,” “54 Sings” and others, “CSA Presents…” will utilize local talent to perform material outside of the musical theater canon, with a theatrical flair! The concert is produced by CSA founder *Eric Thomas Fancher* and local actor/director *Joanna May Hunkins*, and music directed by Jordan Cooper. LAND OF CLEVE REVIEW: Ensemble Theatre Uncages a Fascinatingly Ferocious * 'Bengal Tiger at * * the Baghdad Zoo'* The two-act play is directed with intimate intensity by the ever-inventive Celeste Cosentino. From the very moment the audience members enter the theatre, they are immersed in a wartorn world of captivity, scrutiny, restlessness and paranoia. Cosentino has also assembled a cast that is simply astounding in their re-enactment of this foreign and yet familiar environment. Michael Regnier is comfortably cantankerous in the title role, to the point where one really wishes they could have a conversation with a tiger. Daniel McElhaney and Leilani Barrett are great as grunts on guard duty whose lives are forever linked after a routine patrol goes horribly wrong. An unexpected accident alters their destinies and leaves them defenseless against their personal demons. Tom Kondilas and Assad Khaishgi are excellent as a put-upon interpreter and his former employer who forces him to do his bidding from beyond the grave. Juliette Regnier and Justine Zapin represent the repressed and resilient females caught in the crossfire. Mike Faddoul rounds out the vibrant, versatile ensemble. *Bengal Tiger* is visually stunning and audibly shocking thanks to the combined efforts of set and projection designer Ian Hinz; costumer Angelina Herin; lighting designer Andrew Eckert; the sound team of Cosentino, Hinz and Jeremy Allen; prostethics expert PJ Toomey; and language consultants Dr Ali Alhaddad and Kenneth Shareef...
