Sparks fly at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory as union leader Babe Williams lobbies the superintendent Sid Sorokin for a 7 ½ cent raise for the workers. Things come to a head when Babe organizes a strike, setting off a conflict of workers versus management as well as a battle of the sexes. With an energetic score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, The Pajama Game flaunts a slew of upbeat musical standards including "Steam Heat" and "Hernando's Hideaway." The show won the Tony for Best Musical for its original 1955 production, and was nominated for Best Revival of a Musical in 2006, proving that classics never go out of style! Workshop Players present *It Runs In The Family*, a comedy by Ray Cooney, directed by Mason Adams. Set in a hospital, *It Runs in the Family* contains the usual assortment of farcical nuts running in and out of doors mistaking everybody for someone else, as Dr. Mortimore (Jonathan McCleery) tries to fend off a paternity suit, an ex wife, a punkish son and various other lunatics so that he may, at last, deliver the Ponsonby Lecture in an international conference. The cast includes: Kevin Boland, Marcia Deist, Anthony DeJesus, Jenny Erbs, Dale Hruska, Shelbey Linder, Janet Lynch, Tom Majercik, Dennis Runkle, Brad Sales and Maria Vitale-Gesmond. Performances are July 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 & 25 at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees on July 19 and 26 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 each or $10 each groups of 15 or more. Auditions are being held for the annual Liverpool Historical Spirit Walk (in partnership with Liverpool Historical Society and Buckeye Community Theatre) on Saturday July 18th, 2015 starting at 5:00 PM. We are looking for 11 adults (5 males, 5 females, 1 could be either male or female) and 2 teens (1 boy and 1 girl) Roles Offered: 1. John Dye: A Civil War Solider. Male. Age 20-40 2. Roy Britnall: A doctor who died in a hospital fire. Male. Age 40-50. 3. Edith Brintnall: Roy's mother. Female. Age: 70-80. 4. Justus Warner: An elderly Liverpool Judge. Male. Age 70-90. (Slightly deaf) 5. Rhoda Warner: Justus Warner's niece who takes care of him. Female. Age 20-25. 6. Fredrick Kimmich: A Union Solider that spent time in the Andersonville Prison during the Civil War. Students will get the chance to learn from, and create music with, nationally-recognized roots music performer and educator, Paul Kovac. Although recommended for guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, vocals, all instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome.
