He's an older guy who manipulates women by telling them what they want to hear. He has the weirdest taste in fashion, and thinks women find him irresistible. He's not only dating Bonny (Assistant of an attorney) but he has her brainwashed. When: Would need to be available on Saturday March 19th to shoot scene. Compensation. Our badge programs for Girl and Boy Scouts meet the requirements of leveled badges and are designed to give scouts a broad introduction to theatre as an art form. All programs include an acting workshop, backstage tour, theatre history, superstitions of the stage and a look at theatrical design for props, sets, costumes, make-up, lights and sound. The Scout Day Program cost is $16 per scout. At least one troop leader or parent representative is required to attend with each troop. No fee is applied for adults attending the badge program. Just indicate which one you are interested in (or both) at your audition.* *What To Prepare?:** The Open Calls will only require one (1) vocal selection ( approx. 32 bars), or two (2) vocal selections (approx. 16 bars each). Bring sheet music already in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Singing without accompaniment is highly discouraged. There will not be a Dance Call UNTIL callbacks. If possible, please bring a resume’ and headshot. Neither are required for the audition, but are helpful if you have them. Even a small picture is useful to us. Note: Pictures cannot be returned!* *Equity/Non-Equity**: Two (2) AEA contracts will be offered for each show. “Heathers” operates under a Special Appearance Contract (no health weeks) and “Billy Elliot” operates under a Tier One Guest Artist Contract (Health included.) Each contract is anticipated to be 11 weeks. Also, all Non Equity performers ARE compensated with a modest stipend for their participation. You must be 18 years old at the time of the closing performance to qualify for a stipend. No EMC points are available for either of these productions.* *Callbacks**: Callbacks will occur during the time frame of Sat. Feb. 27th thru Mon., Feb. 29th. ‘Which shows on which days’ has not yet been decided. This will be determined after Open Calls. It is essential at the time of your audition that you let us know your full availability during this three day span so we can best organize our call back structure. Volunteer judges will read and choose eight plays to be performed at the Playhouse during 8x10 TheatreFest Weekend, July 15, 16 and 17, 2016. Audience members will rank the plays, and following Sunday's matinee, winners will be announced and cash prizes awarded. The deadline for entries is midnight on Friday, May 13, 2016. Play finalists will be announced on May 27, 2016. Each of the eight finalists will receive a full production of his or her play - performed by volunteer actors - and two complimentary tickets to 8x10 TheatreFest. Auditions for actors age 17 and up will take place on May 29 and 30 with details to be posted soon. All applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of submissions and administrative fee, notification of 8 finalist plays, preceding TheatreFest and notification of winners, following the conclusion of TheatreFest. The play remains the sole property of the playwright. Last year's winning play was Black Friday by Jennifer Tromble of North Tonawanda, New York. It was directed by Ian Haberman and featured Meg Hopp, Alex Nine and Rachel Gehlert. Play finalist came from as far away as Vancouver, British Columbia and Fairbanks, Alaska. Thursday, February 25th - 7pm to 9pm Saturday, February 27th - 11am to 1pm Sunday, February 28th (By Appointment Only, between 1:30pm & 5pm) Monday, February 29th (By Appointment Only, between 7pm & 9pm) *If you wish to audition and are unable to attend the posted times, contact the Director to schedule an appointment prior to the cast posting.
