FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARCH 14, 2016 Great Lakes Theater Announces Auditions for Actor/Teachers Great Lakes Theater (GLT) announces auditions for non-Equity actor/teachers for its School Residency Program for the 2016-2017 school year. Actors of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition. These are full-time, seasonal, paid positions, offered from August/September, 2016 through May, 2017. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in any discipline, as well as previous stage experience or actor training. Teaching experience or prior work with elementary, junior high or high school age students is a plus, but not required. Applicants must have a valid driver license, a reliable automobile and complete a background check. Applicants are requested to prepare one Shakespearean monologue and one contrasting contemporary monologue for the audition. Both monologues should total no more than three minutes combined. All auditions are by appointment only. Applicants must schedule an audition online. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 14, 2016 Great Lakes Theater Launches CAMP THEATER! A Summer Theater Camp for Students Ages 4-18. CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater will present CAMP THEATER! a summer drama camp held at Berea-Midpark High School for students ages 4-18. Students can sign up for one or both weeks of camp, which will run June 6-10, and June 13-17, 2016. Immersing students in interactive and educational theater-based activities, CAMP THEATER! is a unique opportunity for students to work with and learn from Great Lakes Theaters professional teaching artists in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Daily classes will be held at Berea-Midpark High School in one-week sessions from Monday through Friday. Students may enroll in one or both weeklong sessions as different material will be covered each week. The program is designed for students of all levels of experience and ability.
