This role will function as a department head, will be a core part of the CPT staff and will make a meaningful contribution to life at CPT and its success. Job Description Cleveland Public Theatre is experiencing rapid growth and has created a new role, Physical Operations Manager (POM) This role requires a broad skill set, leadership and initiative and will be part of an intimate, resilient, team-driven staff. The role will work across production, facilities, front-of-house and administrative areas and will primarily report to the General Manager. CPT runs three flexible-seating performance spaces as well as using unconventional venues, as a result this position will work with the technical director, designers and front of house to construct and manage seating. The position will manage the day to day needs of the physical plant, facilities staff and vendors as well as small-scale improvement projects. The POM will also manage CPT's outside I.T. vendor and respond to the staff & production department's day to day I.T. needs. General office management will also fall into this position's portfolio. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Auditions for Rabbit Run Theaters 2016 Summer Season Audition appointments are now being taken for the 2016 summer season musicals at Rabbit Run Theater in Madison, Ohio. The musicals for the summer are Thoroughly Modern Millie and Carousel, a Concert. Thoroughly Modern Millie with lyrics by Dick Scanlan and music by Jeanine Tesori, opens June 24 and runs through July 10. Production dates for Rodgers and Hammersteins Carousel, a Concert are July 22 through Aug. 6. Thoroughly Modern Millie recounts the story of young Millie Dillmount as she arrives in New York City with nothing but big dreams to find a wealthy husband. Set in the roaring twenties, the show is filled with flappers, dashing leading men and a villainess people love to hate. Billy Bigelow, the lead in Carousel, a Concert, is a carefree carnival barker who captivates and marries naïve Julie Jordan. Amidst hard luck and rash decisions, life takes some hard turns for Billy until a second chance makes all the difference. Multiple roles are available for both musicals for men and women, ages 15 and up. The director for both shows is Brint Learned. Musical direction for Thoroughly Modern Millie is provided by Danielle Jones, and musical direction for Carousel, a Concert is provided by Alex Ulle. Auditions for the musicals are Saturday, Mar. 19, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 20, 1 to 5 p.m. Actors auditioning for the musicals should be prepared to sing 16 measures of a Broadway-style song. Swing dance for Nerds who love Pi on Friday, March 11th at the Lakewood Masonic Temple!

The cost of the dance is $12 per person or $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID. If you are brand new to the Get Hep Swing dances you may attend for only $5 your first time. Be sure to arrive in time to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8pm to 9pm with resident nerds: Megan Hallstrom & Jeff Leake! Immediately after the lesson (at 9 PM) Hepcat Revival will kick off an awesome night of music and swing dancing until 12am. Be sure to pay attention to the songs that Hepcat is playing. They have some special songs that fit our nerdy theme to a T! Be sure to wear your geekiest, nerdiest attire as we will be having a costume contest! Costume contest will take place during the first band break around 10pm. We have some awesomly nerdy prizes! (you should try your best to win) We are also selling pie as a fundraiser for our Cleveland Junior Jitterbugs after-school swing dance program. One slice is $3, 2 slices for $5 and a whole pie is $12. (If you would like to bake or buy and donate a pie to our cause that would be terrific. Please message me) Everyone is welcome to come and have fun with us at the swing dance. There is no need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner. Most people dress casually, I mean nerdy! The best shoes to wear are comfortable and not too sticky on the bottom.
