JERUSALEM by *Jez Butterworth* directed by *Ian Wolfgang Hinz* On St. George's Day, the morning of the local county fair (deriving its sense of place & community from the annual carnival week at Pewsey, Wiltshire) Johnny "Rooster" Byron, local waster & modern day Pied Piper, is a wanted man. The council officials want to serve him an eviction notice, while his son, Marky, wants his dad to take him to the fair, Troy Whitworth wants to give him a serious kicking and a motley crew of mates want his ample supply of drugs and alcohol. *Fridays & Saturdays @ 8pm. Ushers are responsible for assisting the House Manager to create a safe and pleasant experience for all Ensemble patrons. - Ushers arrive ONE HOUR before showtime and remain throughout the entire performance. - BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE, ushers will attend mandatory orientation with the House Manager on duty, prepare show programs, welcome patrons to the theater, tear tickets, distribute play programs, and assist patrons with any seating issues. - DURING INTERMISSION, ushers direct audience members to the lobby and/or restrooms and keep patrons off the stage. - AFTER THE PERFORMANCE, ushers straighten the house, including collection of show programs and trash left behind by patrons. Personality/Attire Requirements Ushers must be able to professionally and cheerfully represent the Ensemble to the public. The attire requested for your ushering duties is business casual. Ushers should also have a passion for theater and be at least 16 years of age. When To Arrive Ushers are scheduled to arrive one hour before showtime. You are providing a critical service to our patrons and staff, so please arrive on time, which at Ensemble is one hour before the curtain of the performance you are ushering for. Announcing auditions for *Elf the Musical, Jr!* *Performance Dates:* August 4-7, 2016 *Performance Location: *Medina High School Middle Stage, Medina, OH *Auditions are open to children ages 6-18. This world premiere production marks Cleveland Ballets second performance in its debut season at the Ohio Theatre. As Clevelands only resident ballet company, Cleveland Ballet boasts a company of seven core dancers and four apprentices. As a professional ballet company, dancers rehearse full time with Cleveland Ballet for the entire season. In addition, choreographer Oller builds dances and dramatic moments around Cleveland Ballet company members, ensuring a strong and unique-to-Cleveland world premiere production. Coppélia tells the story of Swanhilda and Frantz whose carefree romance is threatened when Frantz becomes infatuated with the beautiful Coppélia. Frantz does not know that his heart belongs to a lifesize doll created by the towns toy maker Dr. Coppélius. Because Franzs passion for Coppelia is so great he pushes aside his true love, Swanhilda. Eager to win back Franzs heart, Swanhilda dresses like the doll Coppélia fooling both men into believing the doll has come to life. The danger mounts as Dr. Coppélius seeks to keep the living doll hidden from the world while Frantz tries to run away with his new-found love. "The Art of Dining" By Tina Howe Directed by Robert Ellis Cal and Ellen are the owners and sole staff of a small, elegant gourmet restaurant. Cal's main preoccupation is paying back the $75,000 it cost to start it up, and that means packing in the customers. Chef Ellen is preoccupied with the food's quality and stopping Cal from sampling the ingredients. The diners act out their own private dramas over dinner and their conversations are exquisite burlesques of contemporary attitudes. There's a sensual middle aged couple who go into paroxysms of ecstasy just reading the menu and then there's three crass chic young career women. Finally, there's Elizabeth, a maladroit, shy and neurotic writer who's dining with her prospective publisher. Her actions and conversation are unintentionally hilarious and a delicious example of how not to act and what not to talk about while dining.
