Performance: Ensemble Belvedere: An Evening of Baroque Music April 29

On Friday, April 29, 2016, the Shaker Arts Council 2016 Aha! (At Home with the Arts) series presents *Ensemble Belvedere* in concert The program is entitled A Tale of Two Cities: Music of 18th-century Dresden and Berlin. The evening will feature music created in the service of German royalty including trio and solo sonatas by Johann Sebastian and C.P.E Bach along with other baroque composers. *Ensemble Belvedere *encourages audience interaction and invites questions about the music and the instruments after each performance. The performance will be held at Heights Christian Church, 17300 Van Aken Boulevard, Shaker Heights, OH 44120. Tickets are $30 and include light refreshments and a wine reception. *Auditions for Cleveland Shakespeare Festival's 19th Season of Free Outdoor Theater* We are seeking a company of intelligent, energetic and imaginative actors of all races and ethnicities for two productions that will tour a variety of outdoor venues across Cuyahoga, Lake and Lorain counties. *Afternoon Auditions: Saturday, April 16 from 12pm – 3pmEvening Auditions: Monday, April 18 from 6:30pm – 9:30pm* Auditions will be held at: Ensemble Theatre 2843 Washington Blvd. Cleveland Hts. OH 44118 Call backs will be held Tuesday April 19 for *Richard II*, and Thursday April 21 for *The Tempest*. *The Tragedy of King Richard II* – adapted and directed by Doug Farren *Performance Dates June 17 – July 3 * Rehearsals begin May 1 Precast Roles: Richard, John of Gaunt, Bolingbroke. Open casting for all other roles. *The Tempest* – adapted and directed by Allan Byrne *Performance Dates July 22 – August 7* Rehearsals begin in early June All roles open No appointment necessary. Artists will be seen in the order of sign in. There are no AEA contracts available. No housing is provided. All actors and production staff are paid a stipend. Actors may participate in either or both productions. Prepare two contrasting monologues. Total delivery time of both monologues combined should not exceed three minutes. At least one of your two monologues must be from the works of Shakespeare. For consideration, bring TWO COPIES of each - head shot & resume, and please also bring any & all possible known conflicts between the dates of May 1 & July 22 AND Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays through August 7.
