Bay Village Community Theater presents its third installment of its "All the World's A Stage[d Reading" Series with Eugene O'Neill's "A Wife for a Life." This early O'Neill one-act is set in an Arizona mining camp and revolves around two men who love the same woman. Themed music and poetry readings also included We are pleased to announce that we have expanded to three performances! August 14 @ 6 pm @ Mojo's Coffee 600 Dover Center Road, Bay Village. The audience members, by their actions, determine which one of three possible endings is presented. John, a successful middle aged self-made man, approaches his therapist and friend, Dr. Marvin Schwartz. John recently had a one night stand with a woman in his office and cannot bring himself to confess to his wife. The audience then decides whether to bail John out, or to let him face the consequences of his actions. Performance Dates: August 12-14, 19-21 and 26-28 Performance Times: Friday and Saturday 8:00 p.m., Sunday 3:00 p.m. (There is an intermission for each performance when light refreshments will be served.) Lone Buzzard Filmworks is casting a stand-in and possible replacement actor for the film "Cuyahoga Valley Bigfoot." The film is a multi-location comedy-horror short, featuring Bigfoot. Production began July 17 and will continue through September. It's a Triple-B tribute to a post-rules generation (blood, boobs and beast). Casting Requirements: Male actor for indoor green screen shoot. 26+ years of age. Role is nightly news anchor. Must have a suave, newscaster look and good wardrobe selections (dark jackets, shirts and ties). Easy script: all lines on a teleprompter (good vision essential and ability to read cleanly). The other actor in the scene, female newscaster, has a difficult schedule, so her co-anchor (the current casting) must have flexible availability and easy drive to Richfield, Ohio. A one-day, approximately 4 hour shoot: preferably afternoon or possibly evening (depending solely on co-anchor's schedule). August or early September for the scene. This is a major speaking role. CLEVELAND PLAY HOUSE (CPH) HOLDING A CHRISTMAS STORY AUDITIONS FOR CHILDREN OF ALL RACES/ETHNICITES Cleveland Play House (CPH) is casting children ages 7-12, of all races and ethnicities, for its production of A Christmas Story, directed by John McCluggage. All positions are paid. Auditions are by appointment only. For BOYS AND GIRLS: Auditions will be held FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 9th from 5:30pm-8:30-pm & SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 10th from 10:00am-2:00pm. FINAL CALLBACKS: will be held on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 10th from 3:00pm-6:00p.m. Auditions will take place in CPH's rehearsal spaces, located on the fifth floor of the Middough Building, at 1901 E. 13th Street in Downtown Cleveland. Performers will audition with sides from the script, which will be sent when an appointment is set. Please note that children who will be 13 or older on 12/23/16 are ineligible to audition Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, November 1st, and will be held after school and on weekends, Tuesday-Sunday. The week of November 21st rehearsals will be during school hours. There will be no rehearsal on Thanksgiving Day. Performances are 8 shows a week from Nov. 25th - Dec. 23rd. A follower who is easy to pick on. Can't resist the triple dog dare and gets his tongue stuck to a lamppost. Has a sore arm. Also plays a Desperado. Schwartz - (9-12, any race/ethnicity) Another of Ralphie's buddies. He likes trouble. He's a little more on the ball than Flick and gets him to do things he probably shouldn't. Also plays a Desperado. Esther Jane -(9-12, any race/ethnicity) Has a crush on Ralphie. Sweet, girly and likeable. Best friends with Helen. Helen - (9-12, any race/ethnicity) Smartest girl in class. Likes to talk politics and gossip. Best friends with Esther Jane. Randy - (7-10) Ralphie's mischievous little brother who has a true fascination with Santa.
