The HOW TO ACT Instructional Series continues this Fall with group and 1:1 acting development and auditioning improvement sessions. Many participants have went from being movie extras to speaking roles, or have made a transition from theatre to film. Some have advanced their SAG status too. Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 13th from 9-10:30am at the Turning Pointe School of Dance (2387 Locust St. S Canal Fulton, OH 44614). Dancers should have strong classical ballet training and at least one year of Pointe experience. Please come dressed in ballet attire and bring your pointe shoes. * Ballet Le Rêve is a non-profit pre-professional ballet company under the artistic direction of Nurzhan Kulybaev. The company provides young aspiring dancers with a quality performing arts education. Company members rehearse 3-5 hours per week at the Turning Pointe School of Dance and perform company repertoire throughout Northeast Ohio. Beck Center for the Arts Presents Uno Lady | Mike Uva Wednesday, August 10 | 6 - 8 p.m. Enjoy live, local music this summer as Beck Center presents the Red Stage Summer Series, a diverse set of music concerts that are free of charge and open to the public. Aimed to engage local artists and the community, these concerts will also include interactive arts experiences, as well as refreshments and craft beer on sale (cash only). Shaker Dance Academy is excited to announce that for our Boot Camp coming up (Aug 16,17 & 18), we will be joined by guest choreographer and teacher Jordan Washington from New York City! Jordan is an international CHOREOGRAPHER, and DANCER and a former core stepper for the legendary BLACK ICE step company. He's worked with such artists as ARIANA GRANDE, LENNY KRAVITZ, JANELLE MONAE, SEAN PAUL, DIVINE BROWN, CANADIAN IDOL'S EVA AVILA & GARY BEALS, motion pictures "SISTERS", and "HOW SHE MOVE", as well as choreographing performances for the 2007 GREY CUP HALFTIME SHOW, 2010 OLYMPIC GAMES Corporate stages, 2014 INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S GAMES, and 2015 PARAPAN AMERICAN GAMES.
