*ACTORS NEEDED*for *OUTTA THE FIRE:*A Narrative Cooking Show Dramedy TV Show: Thirteen 23-Minute Episodes *Outta the Fire *is a TV series looking for actors to fill comedic roles. Actors who are versed in both comedy and drama are preferred, due to the sometimes dark nature of the show. This series is to be shot in the *Cleveland* area throughout spring and summer, with most shooting days falling on weekends. The shooting schedule will be set to work with varying schedules upon final casting. Positions are currently unpaid and non-Union, but exceptions may be accommodated. Actors will need to prepare a short monologue for the audition, and sides will be provided day of as needed. With a solid recipe of carrot sticks, sexual harassment, bad food puns, and bitter sweet endings, he’ll be lucky to keep the show from literally burning to the ground. Welcome to “Outta the Fire”! *Character Bios:* *Bree Ono [female] {20-25]*—Supporting Character If you've ever been to Coachella or the Social Justice Warrior side of Tumblr, you've probably seen Brie. She purports the ideologies of feminism, veganism, and equality, while simultaneously trying to control and demean those around her. Scantily clad and promiscuous, she has the ability to tear apart the very fragile dynamics that keep Ryan, Joe, and Dennis from killing one another. *Cindi [female] {18-25}*—Supporting Character Cindi is one of a couple Production Assistant’s on this show. While she is a hard worker, willing to do whatever tasks are requested of her, her irritation grows as she is constantly overlooked by the other cast and crew. Even as her frustration grows, it is barely noticed, hidden behind her diminutive stature and soft voice. *Pepe [male] [25-40]*—Supporting Character A flamboyant, alcoholic, Mexican makeup artist, with all the stereotypes that might come along with that. He remains an opponent of oppression (Ryan) and a defender of the weak (Dennis). With a flick of his scarf, he will either sass back with a harsh jab or lend a helping bottle of candy sweet alcohol. *Interviewer [female] [20-35]*—Supporting Character With a background in improv comedy and a healthy amount of professionalism, she comes to interview the cast and crew of "Outta the Fire”. Upon realizing how awful they all are though [especially Ryan], she wants nothing more than to get out. But little does she know, her hatred for them will bind her to the show in a way she never would have guessed. *Olivia [female] [25-40]*—Supporting Character A beautiful woman that is the object of Ryan's affections. Always dressed to impress, she's a woman who knows what she wants. With everything that she says, you can hear her intelligence, and every action is purposeful. For her part, she serves as Ryan's cooking assistant in an episode from his old show. But he treats her, not as he treats his cast and crew now, but as close to an equal as his ego will allow. *Deep Voiced Hype Man [male]*—Supporting Character A disembodied voice that sometimes lends his talents to the cast and crew. He is a little too exuberant. When he gets reprimanded for Ryan for just that flaw, he has no issue with retaliating in the only way he can. *Gun Store Owner*--Featured Extra He runs the gun store. *Craft Services Guy*--Featured Extra He runs the craft services table. Needs to have a hearty yell. *Woods Priest*--Featured Extra: Wears a priests outfit. Marries people in the woods. *Cloaked Killer*Wears a cloak. Kills people. *Other Featured Extras*

Songs for a New World "Songs for a New World" is one of Jason Robert Brown's ("Last Five Years", "13") first works. It is an abstract theatrical song cycle that is about decisions people make. JRB said his show is “about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back." There are 4 parts in this show, 2 men and 2 women, with the possibility of adding one more female and male to make the cast 6 people. Sandstone Summer Theatre of Amherst, Ohio is pleased to announce audition dates for *Sister Act: The Musical,* under the direction of Kristina Rivera and Music Direction under Melissa Anderson. Auditions will be held on March 11th, 2017 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the choir room of the Amherst Junior High School, 548 Milan Ave, Amherst, OH 44001. You only have to attend one of the dates, but please plan on staying the whole time. Please prepare 32 bars in the style of the show, but not from the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key. Extremely protective about keeping her sisters away from the outside world, which puts her in direct opposition to Deloris and her musical teachings. Gender: female Age: 50 to 70 Vocal range top: E5 Vocal range bottom: D3 Sister Mary Robert A postulant, abandoned as a baby and raised at the convent. Shy and soft-spoken, but singing with Deloris lets her find her voice. Her wallflower lifestyle has made her live a shell of a life. Gender: female Age: 16 to 25 Vocal range top: A5 Vocal range bottom: F#3 Sister Mary Patrick A nun of the convent. Consistently perky, enthusiastic, and easily excitable. Gender: female Age: 35 to 50 Sister Mary Lazarus A nun of the convent and the head of the choir. Rather deadpan and the least welcoming of any of the nuns, but she gets caught up in Deloris's soul music. Gender: female Age: 50 to 70 Vocal range top: B4 Vocal range bottom: F3 Monsignor O'hara One of the heads of the convent. Constantly concerned with financial matters, though soul music surprisingly puts him in a different mood. Gender: male Age: 45 to 60 Vocal range top: G4 Vocal range bottom: E3 Curtis A club owner, notorious gangster, and Deloris's boyfriend. Cocky and controlling, always on the verge of violence. Gender: male Age: 30 to 40 Vocal range top: Ab4 Vocal range bottom: A2 Eddie Souther The desk chief at the Philadelphia police station and a high school classmate of Deloris who helps get her into hiding. Faces a lot of nerves when under pressure, causing him to sweat profusely. He still yearns for Deloris after all these years, and dreams of being her hero. Gender: male Age: 25 to 35 Vocal range top: B4 Vocal range bottom: Ab2 Tj Curtis's nephew and one of his thugs. Deft and cognizant of the fact, constantly in a state of ignorant bliss. Gender: male Age: 25 to 40 Vocal range top: F5 Vocal range bottom: C4 Sister Mary Martin-of-tours A nun of the convent. Clearly in her own world, but has her moments of surprising clarity. Gender: female Age: 40 to 60 Sister Mary Theresa A nun of the convent, the oldest of the group. Decrepit at a glance, but secretly packs a punch. Gender: female Age: 60 to 70 Michelle One of Deloris's back-up singers. Lippy and always quick with a retort. Gender: female Age: 20 to 30 Vocal range top: F5 Vocal range bottom: Bb3 Tina One of Deloris's back-up singers. A little thick and naive. Ticket information below.* (Responses sent anonymously from ticket buyers via *Survey Monkey®)* § The one about the Polish funeral. § The first one with the two old Polish ladies! Reminded me of the ladies at church! Very funny and good accents. § *Words, Words, Words* or *Soap Opera *or the one with the Mayflies. However, they were all intriguing and well-acted. § first one § I enjoyed "May Fly" and "Philadelphia" and I enjoyed several. "May Fly", "Philadelphia" and "Word Play" were my favorites, and the chimps were really well- acted! . § *Lives of the Saints* § *Philadelphian* § The monkey one and then he mayfly and then the wash machine one § Foreplay. § The funeral ladies of course. The Mayflies were quite entertaining as well. § Too hard to choose!! I loved *Time Flies* and *Words Words Words*, those were gut-busting! But *Sure Thing* and *Foreplay* required so much talent and we're equal parts impressive, witty, and downright hysterical! Loved everything!! § No, but still good § 2nd one,I believe.....with the couple at a table. § *Words, Words, Words* § *Lives of the Saints* and *Foreplay* § The first one, polish ladies. § We liked the Mayflies! § ALL OF 'EM!!! Never knew he was such a talented writer. § My favorite was the 2nd one. Two actors in a coffee shop.
