Cleveland Method Acting Accepting Students For August Program

Cleveland Method Acting (CMA), led by Emmy nominated TV and Film Director Eric Swinderman, is now accepting students for the upcoming 4 week program. The classes are centered around The Sanford Meisner Technique, also known as THE METHOD. Through the Meisner system, the actor becomes fearless and gains a strong confidence that can be applied to all areas of life. The four week class helps the young actor develop a love for the work, and with this, the ability to survive and work as an actor. Using a series of sensory memory exercises the actor will work on a single piece of work for 4 weeks learning how to look at the work from different angles and explore how the method can help the work evolve into a living breathing scene. none too fragile’s ‘An Impending Rupture’ enraptures Bob Abelman Cleveland Jewish News, The News Herald, The Morning Journal Member, International Association of Theatre Critics Henny Penny, more commonly known as Chicken Little, is the featured protagonist in an early 19th century European morality tale about falsely believing that the world is coming to an end and crying out “The sky is falling!” while doing so. Imagine, as playwright Matt Pelfrey has, that Chicken Little is a middle-aged suburbanite in post-9/11 America. And that his wife Terri is pregnant with their first child. And he has just had his first hit of crack cocaine. Welcome to the world of Pelfrey's dark one-act comedy “An Impending Rupture of the Belly,” which premiered in 2007, had a short Off-Broadway run in 2010, and is currently on stage at none too fragile. The Talent Tree is now offering music and movement classes for children up to age 5 with a caregiver. Summer classes will be held on Tuesdays, July 11th, 18th, and 25th from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 at The Talent Tree's new location: 1668 Norton Rd. Stow/Hudson. $15.00 per class for the first child and $10.00 per class for each additional child in the family. No charge for the adults and siblings under 12 months. About the instructors: Elisha Mueller holds a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Music, and a masters degree in Library and Information Science. She is an experienced preschool teacher, children's librarian, and performer. She brings her knowledge of music, child development, and experience leading exciting programs for preschoolers and their families. Brian Mueller holds a bachelors degree in Music, and teaches private music lessons at The Talent Tree. He is also a local professional singer/actor/musician/ director.
